We stopped in here after a long road trip - with memories of Godfather's Pizza locations from years ago (amazingly good, deep-dish thick, loaded pizzas, fresh & hot). Our experience was mixed for sure.On the good side: 1) the place is new and clean. 2) we got 3 different already cooked "mini pizzas" , all of which tasted fairly hot and good. 3) they have a self-serve soft drink station, which is always convenient. 4) the pricing was low.On the not-so-good side: 1) We originally ordered 3 fresh "mini-pizzas", and the staff told us that it would be a 30 minute wait, as they had other take-out orders ahead of us. We were the only customers in the store in-person, btw - so that was harsh to hear. 2) The staff pointed to a heated glass case with 5 or 6 pre-cooked mini-pizzas and got us to choose 3 of them. Not what we came in for. (We got a pepperoni, a meat combo, and a "classic" which had some veggies and meat). So, my family was definitely mixed on our opinion. No other customers came in during our dinner - not even any "take-out" pick-ups... so it was odd to us that we would of had a 30 minute wait. It felt more like they didn't want to cook anything fresh - rather they wanted to force us into their pre-cooked selections. Again, the pizzas were fine - but they were NOT the old "Godfather's Pizza" style: of very thick, very fresh, and loaded with toppings... sigh ...Idk if we'll stop back in. Our expectations would be lowered quite a bit, so maybe next time we'd be ready for "average" food, attention, and results. Overall, it was okay (and my list of "positives" were legitimate)... it is just that the name "Godfather's Pizza" should mean so much more than this.
For Papa John's Pizza in Mebane, NC, the secret to success is much like the secret to making a better pizza - the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Whether it's our signature sauce, toppings, our original fresh dough, or even the box itsel
Well, really, it's a toss up. Pappa Johns or the place across the street! Both are decent mass produced pizzas made to order. Service is good, pizza comes out hot, seasoning is decent, pricing is reasonable.

We live close to Domino's Pizza and enjoy their offerings. Yes, Domino's is production line type pizza, however, their offerings (are not) dull like the hand tossed place near Walmart off Mebane Oaks! Domino's has a great formula for their dough. It's tasty, crunchy and chewy all at the same time. The sauce is interesting but not too overdone, the toppings are always plentiful. We like to pick up our own. Why pay a premium price for better pizza! I'd stop at Domino's first!

After our choir members sang at The Hawfield's Presbyterian Nursing Home in Mebane, we stopped to have a meal at Roma's. This restaurant is conveniently located in The Lowe's Foods Stip Mall. I asked for a cup of hot water. I had brought my OWN tea bag. The waitress brought me a plastic tumbler. My friend said, "A to go styrofoam cup would be BETTER. It seems that NO one askes for tea or coffee at Roma's. Jane H.

A fellow resident of the Mebane area rated Mario's pizza very highly. Since it's located in Tanger, we never really considered it a local pizza source. We ate lunch here during the week so it was not very crowded. Customers that entered the store after us were a mix of shoppers and Tanger store workers. The pizza we ordered was above average. Large slices tasking almost like NY pizza. Prices are a bit higher than other local pizza shops. The only thing that surprised me was that since the restaurant is located in an area frequented by tourists, there wasn't a more friendly face behind the counter.

Nice neighborhood Italian place. Fried Calamari was good, crispy outside & soft squid meat. Clams with Angel Hair Pasta was average. Sauce is a tad salty to my taste, clams may be over cooked (chewy). Sausage & Pepper dish is good, large portion of meaty sausage. Lasagna is enjoyable, Manicotti has that silky pasta. Overall, good place to get your Italian dish.

Always have fresh bread for subs, great menu, always some daily specials, family-owned and operated. The management has accountability, everyone knows their roles on the serving team and they are always willing to make your order correct. The only thing that I would recommend is making a fountain drink station for their customers, have more ice available and possibly update the furniture. The large amount of customers have worn out some of the booths, tables and a facelift may be needed. Otherwise, my favorite place in Mebane, this family knows how to run a business and their reputation speaks for itself.
