Ate at Mez yesterday evening â was expecting something great since I was a long time fan of 518 in Raleigh. Disappointed in virtually every way possible:1. Ordered fajitas â plate was cold â food was slightly warm. Chicken was warm, but obviously not freshly prepared â difficult to chew. The rice on my plate was equally cold â two of three tortillas were warm â not so the third and it literally fell apart in my hand.2. My wife ordered a chicken taco. The meet on the taco LOOKED like tuna fish from a can â it was ice cold and after tasting it, Iâm not sure I know exactly what it was. I am not an connoisseur of Mexican food, but generally a taco is served in a warm soft tortilla (except at Taco Bell). This was a flat cold piece of tortilla.3. We ordered a side of corn pudding, and it was a small square in a bowl â it was also ice cold. 4. Our server was professional in demeanor, but decidedly unenthusiastic about our presence â he only visited out table to deliver the food, to ask about the food and upon relaying our comments above, he took the taco away and, based on our request, removed it from the bill. There was not adjustment or accommodation made for anything else. When I flagged him down to get my check, he wanted to know if we wanted desert â donât think that was the right thing to ask â he did refill my water glass at that point as he was taking my credit card for payment.5. The menâs bathroom smelled sort of âoldâ if you know what I mean, but my wife advised me that the empty womenâs restroom seemed to have a strong sewer type odor.Your restaurant is very attractive, but my assumption is you are busy at lunch, but not at dinner. We walked in the door at 5:45 and the scarcity of cars in the parking area should probably have clued us in, but I really wanted to eat at the restaurant so went forward anyway much to eventual disappointment.
I frequent Viva at least once a week if not more...I think I have tried almost everything on the menu to include their Brunch. Almost all the margaritas, but the Paloma and Viva margaritas are my favorites...hmmm...I must also say the Pina is good too.The service is always fantastic, greeted with a smile, no wait and Balu the owner always comes by and chats.I love this place.

First, I have been a fan of Chipotle since 1999. I remember the day I walked into a location in Dublin, OH and experienced my first Barbacoa burrito. I was hooked. I was happy to see this location opening so close to work. Unfortunately, the experiences so far have not come close to expectations. I think the turnover at this location might be an issue. The employees always seem out of sorts and irritated that there are customers. While it is seen in the employees, this indicates a much higher problem with leadership. Other than this, it's typical Chipotle fare. This can be a great location. I think a review of the current staff needs to be done and issues need to be addressed quickly. There are homeless panhandlers standing 100 yards away. I am sure one would be happy to have a job.

Food is the best Mexican in the area. The portions are very large for the price. The ambiance is awesome. It is ideal for couples, families, parties, etc. It is the only place that I can find delicious Menuedo.

This is my first time at Cantina 18. The manager was very friendly. The waiter was a little slow and forgetful... We both had the Crispy Sweet Chili-Lime Wanchese Shrimp. The shrimp were amazing and the sweet chili lime sauce really made the tacos! Overall it was a good experience and I would go back again.

Our hopes weren't high for this Mexian restaurant in a shopping center. But the chips were warm and the salsa obviously homemade and delicious. Waitress was friendly and helpful when the fresh fish (salmon) for the tacos was all gone. Her recommendation for chicken adobo tacos was a great idea. And the order of cheese enchilladas came with Mole, instead of the ordinary enhillada sauce. Excellent. Both came with really good, fluffy mexican rice and refried beans. Since this was our first visit, we didn't know about the fried plantains that everyone around us was having but we made up for it by ordering a serving for dessert. Probably should have had the churos instead but it was an interesting way to end a great meal. Will we be back? You bet. If everything's as good as what we had for lunch, it might even become our new favorite mexican place.

Good Mexican food with a large menu. Not sure that itâs authentic, but it does have great flavor, and all the dishes Iâve ordered have been satistying in taste and substantial in size. The wait staff is friendly. Prices are typical, $7-$14 for an entree with sides.

We've tried many NC Mexican restaurants and have only found a few that we liked as much the Tex-Mex we ate for years. My husband always gets the combination plates and he seems to like them all the same. I try different dishes but one of my favs is Chicken Enchiladas with the tomatillo sauce (green sauce). We drove quite a distance to try out Mi Cancun and arrived in the early evening. I was surprised by the enormous selection of Tequilas but we ordered two traditional, frozen margaritas which came in a tall glass. They were quite sweet but were supposed to be made with freshly squeezed juices. The chips were not hot and thicker than I prefer but the Picante was tasty and each of us received our own container. The server was not very friendly but our food came quickly. I was pleased that my meal included three enchiladas and they were full of chicken. The tomatillo sauce was very good. I also liked the refried beans and rice. I then took one enchilada home and asked for extra sauce to accompany it. I look forward to coming back, especially if I'm in the area.
