It's been a few years since I've dined here. It was once known for great steaks. My son and his wife wanted to go because of their reputation with steak lovers and the relaxed atmosphere, because my grandchildren were coming along.Everyone ordered their dinner and I ordered the Prime Rib Eye cooked medium rare. I got an almost well done thin piece of beef that was one of the most grisly steaks of my life. With a $40 price tag, I have had better breakfast steaks. I asked the server to please return it to the kitchen because it was overdone. She did so without exhibiting any hesitation whatsoever. When she brought the replacement steak it was rare. I don't blame the server for this but the chef should know how to get to medium rare without a problem. This too was a very thinly sliced steak and also had more gristle than steak. I asked for a to go box because my dog will eat it and I didn't think it appropriate to trash a piece of meat that cost that much. The service was excellent. The lady that helped us was prompt, professional and attentive. The place has been around for a long time and I really wanted to enjoy a delicious, well prepared meal but I couldn't. I don't like writing negative reviews and I wish I could give Putter's a good review.

Neighborhood Gastropub. Open for lunch, dinner and late night. Specializing in flat breads, street tacos, sandwiches and small plates. Featuring a full liquor bar, 16 craft beers on tap and select wines. Large outdoor dining area is seasonally available.
My new favorite is the Korean Street Noodles and any burger will satisfy your burger craving! The atmosphere is very nice. Parking can be challenging on busier nights, but take advantage of the valet parking. You don't want to miss out if the primary lot is full!

Recently made my first trip here and was pleasantly surprised. They were advertising a Poke Party and being a HUGE fan of Poke (Hawaiian Raw Fish Dish), I was excited. They only had two varieties but both were excellent. One was Spicy Tuna with cucumber, avocado, pickled sweet onion, edamame, sesame seeds and crispy shallots (The OG) which was my favorite. The other was the Island Time which was Salmon, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño, edamame and rice puffs. Both Poke bowls were served over rice and both were $12. A little too much rice for me as I would have rather had more fish but considering this is a new dish for them, I guess it's probably still experimental at this point.Their beer offering is wide-ranging and includes something for everyone. They have light beers, IPAs, Sours and darker beers which I prefer. The place is small but if you get there early you should be able to get a table. They also have nightly specials so I probably will go back on burger night. They also have some vegetarian and vegan options.

I chose this place for a business lunch with 3 others. Conveniently located on an outparcel at Hanes Mall, it's easy to get to a really nice change of pace for lunch. They had some lunch specials but most of their meals are really inexpensive any way. The service was excellent and attentive. Everyone in my party tried different things and all were pleased with their choices. I had one of the most different mealloaf dishes I've ever tried. I love meatloaf and this was a combination of Chorizo and Beef with a Chipotle and Bacon gravy. It was fabulous.I will not hesitate to return again to try some different dishes but I know I like the meatloaf so much, I'll probably end up with it again.Ale Yeah! So glad to hear about your awesome experience! Thanks for the 5 stars and the awesome review, Ted! We hope to see you again soon!

Came here with a group of friends for a couple drinks and had a great time. The bartender was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions to our group from their vast selection of beers on tap. I would definitely return and recommend this place to any craft beer lover.

Crafting the finest craft brews and sumptuous pub food in the Triad of North Carolina.
Upon my visit to Foothills, I found the wait staff to be incredibly friendly. They always asked how our food was, making sure it was exceptional. The place has a warm atmosphere, and all their drinks and food were delicious (especially from Footnote Cafe). Definitely a casual location for some laughs with friends. thanks for the great review - hope to see you in again soon!
Where to eat Bar food in Winston Salem: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Not the cheapest place, but as all the rating conclude, its one of the very best casual restaurants in Winston. We had shrimp and grits, a cubano, and a cheeseburger, all excellent. The shrimp and grits ($19.50) were particularly good...creamy grits, about a dozen large shrimp, accented with bacon and mushrooms. The cubano ($14.50) was full of meat and cheese with very good sweet potato fries. The burger was actually prepared rare as my wife request, with excellent meat, cheese and a pretty pasta salad. We were all please and will be back!
