We had heard about this place, but had gone to CFA and BoJ instead. Our last day in Smithfield we gave it a try, and it was wonderful. Be warned though, there are very few tables inside, and it is a little off the main path in Smithfield, but it is well worth it...

I ordered a 6 inch "veggie" sub, all I wanted was cheese (that is all my children will eat). The manager gave me 2 triangles of cheese and would not put any more on (even though I wanted nothing else in the sub) without an upcharge. This occurred after I watched her throw away 2 foot long loaves because she cut them wrong for the man ahead of me.

Can't go by Smithfield without stopping at the mall. Went to CiCi's this time too. Was greeted as always with the, "Welcome to CiCi's" slogan. There were several varietiesof pizza, their signature soup and of course a FRESH salad bar with Fresh ingredients.The pizzas came out quickly as did the brownie bars, (my wife's favorite). This was a smaller CiCi's than most I have been in but was reu very well.

Sad to report, the food is not very good. We bought takeout because our hotel was nearby and the place got good reviews. Seaweed salad was OK. Miso soup was dishwater. Hibachi vegetables had never seen a hibachi. chicken teriyaki was not bad. Plates were overflowing with rice--not bad tasting, but certainly not Japanese.

This is the first place I came to eat in Smithfield. It is clean but more like fast food than an actual restaurant.Pros: this is the best chargrill I have ever had in North Carolina. The bacon cheeseburgers are perfect portions, homemade, and flavorful. They are also incredibly affordable.Cons: the ordering cue can seem a little rushed- you won't have time to gander at the menu without being expected to know what you want immediately however, it is incredibly popular and they need to get people in and out quickly. The only complaint is that it is open for lunch and only during the week.I can't help thinking how popular this place would be if it had longer hours and was open on weekends. The limited ones make it hard to satisfy the cravings you will have for the best chargrill in town!

Locally owned and very popular - notice the lines at lunchtime - mobile unit on the side of Market Street in Smithfield. Terrific hot dogs with all of the fixings to choose from! Really good egg rolls! Many other selections and all at out of this world LOW prices! Try the lemonade!!!
