Discover Restaurants offering the best Asian food in Indian Trail, North Carolina, United States. Indian Trail is a suburban town in Union County, North Carolina, United States. Founded on March 12, 1861, the town holds a history of traders traveling along the "Indian Trail," which ran from Petersburg, Virginia, to the Waxhaw Indians, and gold mining. Indian Trail was first a farming community; however, German and Scot-Irish settlers began to move into the area due to its geographical location. In 1874, the Seaboard Coast Line Railroad was built between the cities Charlotte, North Carolina and Monroe, North Carolina. The railroad, which runs through the town, brought prosperity to the area. Indian Trail was incorporated as a town in 1907, with established city limits based upon a one-half mile radius from the intersection of Indian Trail Road and the Seaboard Railroad. Indian Trail has grown rapidly in the 21st Century: a 2011 CNN article stated that Indian Trail's census count jumped from 1,942 in 1990 to 33,518 in 2010. Every Fourth of July the town holds an annual parade which is one of the biggest parades in the Charlotte metropolitan area.

We have gone to more than I can count Chinese restaurants, only to be disappointed. But with Ming Fu, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, flavors, and service. Their prices are decent and the portions are plentiful. As a repeat customer, we have not been let down.

Great Chinese restaurant with eat in or take out. The menu is for all comers with meat and vegan or vegetarian options!! For vegans and vegetarians, they always have tofu options for sesame, general tsoas, Kung poa, cashew nut, sweet and sour, you name it. Not many Chinese restaurants have this option!! We love it.

Food was what you'd expect from a decent Chinese buffet. Everything was very clean and well kept, the food was well maintained and hot. The only downsides were that the restaraunt is very small and they don't have a mongolian grill or anything really special to set it apart. I almost gave it 5 stars, but didn't because it was just a small, ordinary Chinese buffet- nothing to really give it that extra WOW factor. However, do want to note it's cleanliness and how well kept it was.

Rude staff and poor service and food quality. The host was taking an order at a booth located near the entrance. He appeared to ignore us...did not offer us seating for several minutes. The place had only 3 tables occupied so many seat were available. After about 5 minutes.,he walked us towards the back and told us to seat at a booth... he kept walking on.We waited TWENTY minutes before he returned to ask what we wanted to drink.Yes 20 minutes...If we didn't have a GROUPON we would have left! The spring rolls were very hot, but very hard..cabbage was raw inside. The pork fried rice was not appealing at all.tasted like steamed..colorlessexcept for a few chopped tomatoes..was sticky and tasted steamed.not fried.. no peas carrots or eggs..very spicey in flavor. The pad krapraw was tasty but seemed a bit off as well. The waiter did refill drinks when asked. The service was poor and food was not good.Do not recommend and will not return.Should have donated this Groupon to the trash.

Lam's Kitchen

Reviewed By jooksandoy

After moving to Charlotte over a year ago and trying several recommended Chinese restaurants, I finally found the food at Lam's Kitchen to be the best Chinese food in this area. We used to lived in D.C. area and enjoyed the many restaurants there (D.C., Va, & Md.). Lam's Kitchen was a pleasant surprise, given that it was a small store front carry-out type operation. Don't let the appearance fool you, the owner/chef is the real deal. We ate in and took plenty home. His cooking style is authentic as can be, given the availability of the required ingredients. When you visit, notice the Chinese side of the menu and try something different. It's all good and you can ask for suggestions if you're a foodie. This is our go-to Chinese restaurant now, it's worth the drive for me. I won't be disappointed. Not an expensive priced restaurant.Lam's Kitchen is less than a year in operation.
