This was my second visit and I wanted to pick up my takeout order. Called the restaurant twice to order (about 5:30 p.m. -Saturday night) and received a message âunable to take your call...please try again laterâ....both times. Then, I decided to order online....it was now 5:35...placed the order for two Jumbo Shrimp Quesadilla....earliest time for pick up was 6:45.Got to the restaurant..parking lot packed, all tables and booths full a few waiting to get seated, some picking up take out. I entered the restaurant at 6:30 (15 minutes earlier than indicated). When I approached the hostess/cashier she was remarkably cool, calm, friendly in the midst of âorganized chaos â. About 12 - 14 take out bags were stacked up ready for pick up. I showed her my order number, she checked the computer...smiled and said oh yes, your order is ready! The food is well above average, prices are extremely reasonable...guess that is why you should be prepared to wait....for take out pick up, for seating at the restaurant and for being able to get an order placed.Bottom line....if you have the time and patience....well worth the wait.

This one one of my boyfriend's favorite hangouts when he was a student at App State, and he was so excited to show it to me. While the food was mostly the same, he was very disappointed at the "remodel," where they took away the character and left the old divey interior. It's a shame that so much of the artwork is gone. He was also extremely bummed that they replaced the toys for identifying your order with actual table numbers. It lost a lot of the cool quirks that made it unique. However, the food is good, and I guess that's most important.

We ordered the Puerto Nuevo fajitas for two, came with beef, chicken, shrimp, and the tenderest pork I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Service was excellent and the prices were extremely reasonable. If we are ever back in Boone, we will definitely come back.

We really enjoyed our recent lunch at Dos. Service here is always excellent. The lunch specials are a great deal. They have very good fresh-made traditional "limonade", horchata and of course, Margaritas. Dinner is great also, but we're usually in the area at lunchtime.
