We recently visited Makoto's on a slow day. Service was good, the salad and ginger dressing was amazing as always. Rice was good, carrots would have been better with a little time on the grill. Everything was salty...I guess you just can't escape that with Asian food unless you prepare it yourself. Our Chef was very good entertaining the kids.

Always good. I used to eat here when I was in grad school 15 years ago. Same great taste and good value. This is where the locals eat. Best American style Japanese food in town by far.

We have chosen this restaurant as our "go to" for very good asian food. We think it is the best in Boone.
My So and I enjoyed the quick and fresh service and the veggie alternatives, but this is a college style "hot wagon" and understand what you are in for. The prices seemed a little high, but cool for a quick fix.Not the special something, something that can make these stops over the top.
