Falls Cafe is a great little place to kick back and relax. Their covered outside deck offers nice views of Toxaway Falls - a great setting that's hard to beat. We both enjoyed excellent burgers, served with a platter full of fries. They also offer live music on weekend evenings. Our only regret was that we didn't discover Falls Cafe until very late in our visit to the area. Otherwise, it would have been a frequent stop. We highly recommend it as a welcome break from the expensive, pretentious restaurants in the surrounding area.

Wonderful combo of nice-portioned tapas and wine/beer/spirits in an inviting locale between Cashiers and Sapphire. Two of us had three plates and were satiated. Great food combos in the tapas. Not expensive either.

We didn't end up eating here. We were looking for a casual meal after a long day of driving, and had seen (apparently) that this place had good pizzas/flatbreads. We got to the place, and it was mostly empty (just one party of 8 sitting). We were seated by the hostess/waitress and it seemed like she was the only one there (no bartender). We noticed the menu did not have pizza on it, and were puzzled by the large brick oven which dominates the room. When we inquired about pizza, she said "we're not serving pizza tonight". Okay. What nights DO you serve pizza. "Oh, only when we have a guy to work the oven." Okay. What nights are those. "Not sure". Bizarre.The place was clean, but empty. We went to the other casual place (Mica's) and it was PACKED. 1+ hour wait to get in. Apparently, the market has left Sapphire Mountain Brewing and gone elsewhere. Lost opportunity and the area needs another casual eatery like this.

We arrived for a 1 pm lunch and it was pretty crowded. We got seated in 15 minutes, however. We liked this place. Good food and beer. We had the Gyro sandwiches and they were well done. I would definitely return.
