As others have pointed out, this is a wonderful break from the brewery tour. Great location, open air seating, nice curated wine list, upbeat ambiance. We enjoyed a reggae fusion style band that had the crowd moving and people hawking outside and n the sidewalk. A really fun place.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I discovered it last summer with a group of girlfriends- we had done a restaurant tour with Eating Asheville and the tour guide had recommended that we check it out after. Last weekend, my husband and I were in Asheville to celebrate his birthday and I wanted to take him back. We had read online that it was pet friendly but we had no idea HOW pet friendly until we were there. Not only did we enjoy our lunch (a champagne flight, the Spanish platter, and a three-cheese grilled cheese with coleslaw and chips) but they absolutely fawned over our pup, bringing him water and treats. They said we were welcome inside, but we preferred to sit out front and people watch, despite the heat. Everyone who worked there said hello and petted our dog, as did a few of the vendors that line the area out in front of the store. We had a truly lovely time and I don't think any future Asheville trips will be complete without a stop here!My husband and I own BPBX and are so happy you had a good experience and took the time to comment. I was working that day and remember interacting with you all (well, mostly your pup). We look forward to you next visit and, again, thanks for the kind words that we will pass along to our staff.

I personally love their bakery items because its all gluten free. And basically its all I ever buy. The food...well too woo woo for me. But others like it. I'm into more plain simple food without all the spices and such. Its a hoping busy place. Folks at counter are really sweet. As usual not enough parking as with most anything around this area. Thank you for the straightforward review! The next time you're in, ask the server for a simple recommendation. Of course, you can always stick to the bakery items; there are so many great things to choose from. :) See you soon.
