This really is a French restaurant — lovely beurre blanc with everything, small portions of highly quality foods. Seafood and fish highly recommended. (Seafood Hal!). Save room for the homemade desserts — all in house and divine. For us, this is a special event restaurant.

Coach House Seafood and Steak

Asked young lady at the KOA East for the name of 2 good restaurants in the area. Said we could go for a fish dinner and she highly recommended Coach House, said it was one of her favorite restaurants. We were NOT disappointed. Parking was not a problem for us with our 22 foot RV. We were seated immediately and a very nice young lady came by to ask for our beverage order. We ordered 2 seafood plates both broiled and let's just say -- we were stuffed when we left. The flounder, baked potato, salad and hush puppies were excellent and the scallops, baked sweet potato, salad and hush puppies were also delicious. The hush puppies are the sweet ones with a small container of cinnamon butter -- that was our dessert. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the place, the courtesy of the staff and our very attentive waitress. If we are back in the area we would certainly drop in for a bite.

The Corner Kitchen

Lots of places do Farm to Table, the difference is what happens in between.

During a recent stay in Asheville, we ate dinner at Corner Kitchen based on positive TA reviews and ranking within the top 5 restaurants in Asheville! We were not disappointed and the ranking is well deserved. Corner Kitchen is located in Biltmore Village area and has a sister restaurant, Chestnut, which we ate at also during our Asheville stay. The Corner Kitchen is very open and informal—dressing up is certainly not necessary. We had a reservation and were promptly seated in the dining area near the bar. Our server was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly; and provided outstanding service throughout. My wife had the scallops with risotto and I had the fresh catch of the day which was swordfish. But dishes were perfectly prepared and nicely complimented by the sides—which were unique and delicious. We finished with the seasonal cheesecake which was also delicious! Great meal and the best dinner we had of three in Asheville (the others, including Chestnut, were also excellent). Value was very good for the quality of the meal. I highly recommend—reservations are a must.
