I went to Potent Potables in Jamestown for the second time yesterday. They have a very large selection of bottled beers and wines as well as 5-6 craft beers on tap. Steve, the owner, is a very friendly and knowledgeable guy and a good host. There are about a dozen tables and a comfortable bar area in the back. In addition to the liquid goodness that Steve provides, there is a large selection of games that you can play and also a large selection of beer glasses for sale. I was able to add two nice Belgian glasses and a German glass to my collection. Often there is a food truck just outside the front door. Quite convenient. PP is easily found on Main Street and it is a place that I recommend.

So reluctantly my wife brought me here for lunch. I have to say I was impressed by the food and even more impressed by the staff. I had the cheese plate and my wife at the french onion soup. I researched restaurants for lunch and Hops never showed up. We headed out to find one of two other restaurants, but couldn't get to either one because roads were blocked for a parade. We had passed Hops, so turned around to go there. I'm so glad we found this place!We weren't sure how many in our group would be joining us, so the hostess found us a table (during a very busy time) where we could expand our group as needed. We started out with four and ended with 11 and the staff never missed a beat. The service is incredible. The burgers are delicious with many creative options. I had the Diablo with jalapenos and guacamole. Others at our table loved the buffalo fries (very spicy), the French Onion burger, Brooklyn, Cuban Cow and Spicy Goat. Vegetarian options are available. There are many options for fries to try. The beer is list is extensive and prices are very reasonable. I had a Hefeweizen with coconut flakes that was very tasty. The atmosphere is hipster, busy and lively. Outside seating is available and there's a small bar area.
