This place has authentic food from the Dominican Republic and Caribbean. I've tried several things here and all have been excellent. I recently had the Cuban sandwich, which is a large portion. I definitely recommend it. Also the sweet plantains are my favorite.This is a no frills kind of place, almost a fast food style. But the food is great, and the people are super friendly.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch when headed home from Raleigh. Conveniently located in Clayton with a large menu (Italian, American, Venezuelan and Cuban)...something for everyone. Jim is super friendly and service is great. My husband ordered the Shrimp and Grits and I ordered the Explosion Burger and fries. Both delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband finished his meal with Bien Me Sabe which never disappoints! We love this place... Always delicious!

The first thing you notice is the great smells. Then you get to see all the great foods on display. There are many great Currie and Jerk offerings. Be sure to check out the Chef's Special. They have fish, shrimp, chicken, goat and other fun foods to choose from. The hot Jerk is tasty but mild compared to what you get in Jamaica. Try the Jerk King Fish when available.
