We celebrated my husbands birthday here last Friday and it was excellent. When we arrived for our dinner reservation we were informed our table wasnât ready yet and we were ushered up the stairs to a very cosy bar where we had a drink. A little later our table was ready and boy was it worth the wait! We ordered all different starters and they were all excellent. Oysters, raw and fried just delicious. For our mains we ordered jambalaya, salads, fish and again every dish was delicious. The atmosphere was very calm and nice and the staff brought a nice local berry cake with a candle for my husband for dessert. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

Pepper's is a locally owned restaurant that opened its doors in 1975 to serve the North Carolina High Country the best high-quality deli-style sandwiches in the area. Since then we have grown into a full-service restaurant and bar offering homemade soups,
I stopped in Pepper's for a late lunch. Slow afternoon, few folks dining. I had great service, attentive and friendly--from a young guy, since there's apparently some discussion about a feminist takeover of the service staff. Fried mushrooms were excellent, as was the classic club sandwich. Much better than the last several times I ate at Pepper's.Thank you for your 5-Bubble review! We're not sure where the feminist takeover discussion came from, during our 44 years of business we've had and currently have multiple female managers in charge here at Pepper's! We're glad you enjoyed our food and service, we hope to see you again soon!
