Reviews on Seafood food in Frisco, North Carolina, United States. Frisco is a small unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) on the barrier island of Hatteras Island, between the villages of Buxton and Hatteras. It is located in Dare County, North Carolina, United States, and was previously named "Trent", or "Trent Woods", but received a new name with the coming of the post office in 1898. Most of the land is taken by houses available for rental during the summer months, and as such the community's population varies seasonally. As of the 2010 census, the permanent population of the community was 200. North Carolina Highway 12 serves as the primary road in Frisco and connects the community to others on the island.

A bit slow to start off. Not a very big place to be so slow to seat guests. Still took a few minutes to get a waitress. She finally did take our order. Waiting for our food as I make this review. Cute little gift shop area.I'm sorry our service was a little slower than you expected when you came in. I'm not sure what was going on that day, but slow service is not the norm here. I hope you'll give us a second chance to show you what exceptional service looks like. Warmly, Keith Gray, Owner

Our large family had dinner here during our vacation and were seated after waiting a few minutes for a table to be set up. The setting was nice and the views were lovely. Our server was not very friendly, nor was she attentive. Several in our group had to ask twice in order to get refills, salt & pepper, etc. The mojito was served with 2 mint leaves in it - literally. The conch fritters were just ok, the fish bites very good & the kids enjoyed the dock chips. I ordered a Caesar salad and while the lettuce was fresh and crisp, the dressing wasn't as flavorful as I would've liked nor was any pepper available (we had already asked once...) Our entrees were good and I enjoyed the shrimp & grits. My husband had the Wahoo special, which was served with an Asian glaze and was very good. Others in our group had the curry shrimp, the house salad, chicken fingers, pasta, and steak and everyone gave good reviews. If our server had been more pleasant and attentive, it would have made a huge difference in the evening. If possible, I would've given a rating of 3.5 stars, as there is certainly room for improvement.

We are a casual dining restaurant located on the Pamlico Sound in Buxton. We have been serving dinner on the Outer Banks for 21 years now, six in Hatteras until Hurricane Isabel took our building away, and then we blew up the road to Buxton for the last 1

Small but intimate atmosphere. A dive worth stopping at with the best seafood. Some prices were a bit high, but the fish is reasonably priced. I LOVED the non-PC signs and decor. NYC whimps need not attend. Southern NC charm in their service and manners.

The Quarterdeck Restaurant is a classic family style seafood restaurant operated and owned by the same family since 1978. "We're not fancy, we are family." We have a new view of the Pamlico Sound and an awesome new bar area. Offering a local selection of
We arrived a little ahead of the dinner rush. My husband was looking forward to Crab Puffs, something he'd enjoyed many times years past. The waitress came to our table using the term, Hey Guys to greet us. He asked for the Crab Puffs, but was told they didn't have them this night. He ordered something else. I ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The chicken was nuked. It took a knife and fork to get the skin off and then the hard dried chicken inside was scarce. The tiny dab of mashed potatoes was cold, and the coleslaw turned into applesauce. The waitress come by and asked if 'You Guys' wanted anything else. She brought the check which had the Crab Puffs listed. She saw me studying the check and said 'Oh that's right, I'll take that off". I was being generous when I put Fair on my review.. Nothing like going out for dinner and leaving hungry.

We tried a couple of times to get into Hatteras Sol but there was always a wait of over and hour - just the 2 of us and we couldn't even get a spot at the bar. So we hightailed it over to Dinky's and had 3 nights of excellent food. One night I had the Crab Cakes - 2 and one from fried and out of this world good and the other was broiled and very good but the fried beat out the broiled and I was very surprised. Wife had the steak with Gorgonzola and that was spot on good. 2nd time I got the steak oscar and that was out of this world good. 3rd time was the baked tile fish with parmesan. All so very good. The first night going there we got seated at a table very quickly and we were a party of 4. the next 2 times was just Heather and I and we sat at the bar. Maybe had a 5 min wait to get those spots.

Full service restaurant with beautiful view of Pamlico sound and Teachs Lair marina. Sunset view over the water everyday! Outside decks with outside seating available. Serving Dinner Tuesday through Sunday 4:00pm-9:00pm
We arrived right as they opened at 5:00 as we did not want to wait. There was no problem getting in and when we left about an hour later there was still no wait. Service was fast and pleasant and the chef was very accomodting to menu changes for diet reasons. The food is not elaborate but was quite good. We plan to return.
