I hadn't had the opportunity to go to The Dockside in quite some time. It was all I remembered and more. The flounder was great and my wife's prime rib was outstanding. The service was great but not obtrusive. Drinks were cold and tasty. I'm hooked again and will be back often.

Ate here with a party of 5. We were seated in the backroom with the waterfront view. This was amazing. However, the air conditioning blew right on our table. We requested to move and did. The waitress was a bit dramatic about it. Over the course of our meal, we saw 2 more groups come in and request to be moved. One group only lasted 60 seconds. Our food was pretty good. Got the pan fried shrimp. The breading was a little bland.... this was supposed to be a signature dish. I say, "meh"

We are a family owned and operated business since 1975.We specialize in Calabash style seafood. We have secret family recipes handed down from our great grandmother over 60 years ago.We have a family friendly atmosphere.
They offer a special lunch daily for $8.99. Choice of one or two fried choices, fish, clams, shrimp. It's all cooked to order and served hot with fries or baked potato and hush puppies. However the menu states $3.99 for a house salad but were charged $5.99. The reason, they added a few items to the salad. Iceberg lettuce, one cucumber slice, tomato, sliced onion, croutons and shredded cheese. What was added to increase the price by $2.00?

Casual Dining restaurant on North Carolina Coast
This is the seafood restaurant we all love at the beach. Been there for years .All kinds of seafood cooked to order, fresh out of the water. The servings are generous and cooked just right. When the food arrived at our table, the conversation ceased for a long while! Love the true Calabash style done to perfection. Good value for top notch seafood.

We went early on Saturday and was able to get a table. We had the shrimp cocktail and piggy river rafts for appetizer. Both were good. I had the crab cakes and potato au gratin for dinner. My friends had the steamer pot. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Stopped here for dinner and we were there a little before the dinner rush. By the time we left the line was almost wrapped around the building. Service was fast and we had our meal super quick. All food is fried. I had stuffed shrimp they were large and tasty. Hubby had flounder and a huge amount of shrimp. Coleslaw was good not too sweet and no onions. Hush puppies were better than most. Overall service and food was very good. On the negative side the plate glass windows right by the tables were dirty and really needed to be cleaned. There was quite a few flies which was a little bothersome.

Our son treated us to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. It was his first visit but wonât be his last. We had sirloin steak (son), ahi tuna (me) and grouper (wife) and all were excellent. Calimari appetizer was also good. Excellent server (Lisa) was attentive but not obtrusive. Very nice evening.

Casual Restaurant Serving Calabash Style Seafood, Southern Style Meat & Vegetables, Sandwiches & Salads
A long time ago we made it a point to make a regular visit to the couple of waterside seafood restaurants in Calabash. Now it's so commercialized there that the true Calabash recipes have gotten lost - except at Gravy Southern Eatery. Enormous portions, perfectly cooked, and true southern sides. Good Calabash seafood is lightly breaded and not greasy - just like Gravy. But be prepared to wait to get a table. It's the most popular price around. Don't miss it. Oh and we're told the peach cobbler is crazy good....

For $19.95 I received 4 grilled scallops and a 4 oz grilled black bass, french fries, cole slaw, 3 hush puppies. Fresh tasty seafood but they can surely increase the seafood on the plate. Without the french fries, cole slaw, and hush puppies it was more like eating an appetizer. Food was great but price should have been $11.95 and the service was excellent.
