Monsoon Grill is a small, well run restaurant easily accessible off of Interstate 77. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us in a very friendly and helpful manner. They were informative demonstrating in depth knowledge of the choices available when it came to ordering. The menu has an extensive choice of Japanese cuisine, including varied and interesting appetizers and "small bites", soups and salads, varied rice bowls (basic, hibachi or teriyaki, and specialty gourmet), regular sushi fare, and an extensive choice of sushi rolls. We ordered an appetizer, wasabi coated pork dumplings. It was the first time we had ever had such a dish. It was delicious. The rest of our order consisted of nigiri sushi and sushi rolls. They appeared in a timely manner on a platter arranged like a work of art. The sushi pieces were quite large. Each roll consisted of 8 pieces, a larger number than normal. The whole meal was delightfully delicious. My wife and I are sushi aficionados. This was some of the best North American sushi we have ever had. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive without interfering with our enjoyment of the meal. They also offered a large variety of teas. We had a ginger lemon tea which was excellent. They also have a full service bar including hot sake. When the bill arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the total amount, great value for the price. While we were there, the small restaurant was quite busy with couples, families, and small groups, all of varied ages. If you like Japanese dishes and are close to Mooresville, Monsoon Grill is definitely worth the visit. Although we are from Canada, my wife and I will definitely be back.

Phoned in an order for pick-up. When I got there, the place was empty. Staff was friendly though. Got our food home and must say it was the worst Chinese take-out we've ever had. Everything was a flavorless. Won't try this place again. Really surprised to see the previous reviews.

Eddie Z here again. One of our favorite lunch stops, sushi at the lake too always delivers good and fresh food.We usually have the chicken teriyaki lunch that comes with onions, zuchinni, broccoli, and brown unfried rice. What a great lunch for $9.00.Also comes with miso soup and a salad with that terrific sesame ginger dressing. The service here is always top notch and friendly!!

I was able to get my girlfriend to meet me at my favorite Asian place for dinner. I am not complaining but as of late I am in a Bento box rut specifically their lunch box as it offers a little bit of everything. The staff here is awesome always ready with a refill and making sure you are satisfied with what you have ordered. There are 99 completely different rolls to choose from so I am positive there is something here for everyone.

Eddie Z here again.my wife and I had an outstanding dinner today at great wok.Chicken cashew with white rice and beef&mushrooms with brown rice made for a very filling dinner.Very friendly owners (always there)and staff.Nothing fancy here just fast service and fresh hot food.Very clean inside and owner always wiping down tables and counters which I consider a testament to how she values her business and your health.

The meal at Pisces was a disappointment. The presentation was excellent, but the sushi was not up to the taste of a fine sushi restaurant. The flavors did not blend. Hibachi meals were good. Service was good. Overpriced for what you get.

A long time ago, there were two Lotus Restaurants in the area owned and operated by the same folks. The parent was Lotus in Mooresville (this one) and a daughter restaurant in Cornelius called Lotus 28 because it was at exit 28 on I-77.The later was one of our favorites and we at there frequently till they closed about 15 years ago.All the time, we knew of the original and granted, only 9 miles away, never got around to trying it. Couple of months ago, I bookmarked it as a place to try again. Finally got around to it today and it was as good as what I remembered from Lotus 28.Walked in and was promptly seated in a light airy dining with quiet Oriental Accents.Service was good but was interesting that my meal was served by the Owner who was also the Cashier. Having owner a small business, I appreciate this commitment and give high marks for doing what is necessary to accommodate the customer. The lady who seated me and gave me the menu also took my beverage order. Order my customary Hot Tea which was there in quick order and was excellent with a delicate taste and served with a slice of lemon on the side.Looking over the menu, there were many dishes that looked appetizing but in the end, I ordered the Double Cooked Hot Spiced Pork.Turned out excellent with just the proper balance of heat and texture. Served with Pork Fried Rice and the portions were so large, ended up taking some home.Great value with good food and service in a nice atmosphere so will definitely be back.

I have driven past this restaurant many times, but only recently stopped in for the first time with my daughter for lunch. Bottom line, it's really good! I always gauge a "new" Thai restaurant experience by the Pad Thai. The host of another Thai restaurant used to refer to Pad Thai as the "Thai cheeseburger", meaning (I think), it's the generic/ most familiar to Americans Thai dish. Of the maybe 15 or 20 Thai restaurants I have sampled in NC and beyond, I would put their Pad Thai in the top 2 or 3. My daughter ordered a yellow curry, which she said was wonderful. Both dishes were preceded by flavorful soup and spring roll. All arrived promptly and piping hot, even though the little restaurant was quite busy on a Monday (a good sign). The service was friendly and welcoming. The lunch prices were very reasonable. And, the portions were generous enough for us to take leftovers to my wife, who agreed with our assessment of the quality of the food. The best compliment to a restaurant? We'll be back.
