I ordered the scallops with garlic sauce. They were delicious. The scallops were sea scallops which were cooked just right, not overcooked. The sauce was very tasty, spicy but not too spicy..My wife ordered the triple seafood delight which she said was very good.

We had heard this place was better than the other Japanese choices in Gastonia and surrounding towns - so we tried it and agree with what we were told. They made the kids some custom sushi and the wife and I enjoyed our plates.
A friend introduced me to Pho Feelân recently, and I loved everything about it. The chicken pho had a great flavor and good price. The spring rolls were excellent. Wonderful, modern and casual atmosphere with fantastic and friendly service. I will definitely be back!

Bought a Groupon offer for Sakura. What better way to try out something different. Nice decor and dining area. The hostess & waitress were friendly and our service was prompt. Large variety of items to choose from including sushi. Decisions, decisions. I had the shrimp and steak dinner. Steak was good and cooked to order. The shrimp was overcooked to the point of being tough. Sautéed veggies were good. Dinners run in the $19 and up range.
I just think if you're gonna give a Chinese restaurant 5 stars then you shouldn't get a pile of crap rice so Americanized it's just brown greasy junk. Real fried rice should still look slightly white & have at least some scallions/onions & egg. I prefer mine w sprouts as well. Yes the portions are large but I prefer QUALITY OVER QUANTITY! Now the egg rolls are great better than most you'll find. Soup looked good but didn't taste it. Owner is nice Please FIX YOUR FRIED RICE. Also couldn't tell the difference between honey chicken & general tsos chicken. Although the chicken part was actually good. Wake up& please serve some good Chinese around here! We don't have a 5 star spot. For $20 bucks for 2 combos please.

If you're looking for sushi in Gaston County, then you MUST go to JP's House Sushi & Hibachi. My family and I had lunch there and had a great time. We sat at the sushi bar where we had a wonderful and informative discussion with the sushi chef. He described the various sushi rolls in detail and made suggestions based on what we told him we liked and didn't like. The staff was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.I recommend the jalapeno peppers and JP House sushi roll. The jalapeno poppers were filled with cream cheese, perfectly cooked tempura style and topped with red/orange roe. The jalapenos were crispy but cooked enough to temper their natural heat. They were delicious! The JP House roll was a good size roll (only need one, especially if you have jalapeno poppers as an appetizer) and was layered with flavors. Our teenage son enjoyed a chicken bento box. It contained a lot of food, especially for the price, so we took home leftovers. The quality of the food and service at JP's is excellent, especially for the prices they charge.
Authentic Japanese Restaurant in Gastonia
My wife and I have been to this great restaurant multiple times since its opening. We have never been dissatisfied. The food is fantastic but the experience is great. There is seafood, beef and chicken on the menu. The wait staff are exceptional from arrival to departure. They are smiling, friendly and seem truly happy to help. Questions are answered truthfully and their suggestions have been very good. You are able to see your food prepared. Our last visit we both got a bento (lunch) box. The food was excellent in presentation (see photo), texture and flavor. Very filling and extremely satisfying without the heavy feeling that some of these restaurants have.On a previous visit my wife had the salmon dinner and it was cooked to perfection. I had the "firework" which is a salmon topped seafood sushi that is brought to the table in a flaming plate. You can hear the sizzle, smell the food cooking and it is great. Best we've had in a long time. Definitely will be a regular restaurant for us.

Another family member told me about this restaurant. The big draw was that they have vegetable broth for Pho. They told me they make it themselves Was delicious and plentiful I always appreciate glass plates/bowls and real silverware. Hidden behind Walgreens in the strip mall. I definitely will return and encourage everyone to become patronsService and staff were very friendly.Gaston County and surrounding people definitely need to try. Right off Cox Rd exit.

Sake Express is a regular for us. We prefer the drive-thru, which gets slam packed during the dinner rush. Recently, we tried to visit on a Sunday evening and the drive-thru line extended onto Franklin Blvd. We ended up going to the one in Belmont instead. It's no secret as to why cars line up on Gastonia's main strip to get a taste of this restaurant. The portions are large, the service is accurate 100 percent of the time, and even though I hate that sloped drive-thru, which always makes me nervous when the line is full and the person behind me is right on my tail, the food is worth the annoyance. I usually order the hibachi steak/shrimp/chicken combinations and the tempura Gastonia roll, which is a fried sushi roll for those who don't always prefer it raw. Definitely one of the places that put Gastonia on the map. The service at the one in Belmont is okay, but our orders have turned out to be inaccurate there, and I haven't been to the one in Lake Wylie or Mount Holly. Love Sake Express!

Was staying nearby on a business trip and was in the mood for sushi. Found this place on Tripadvisor (thanks to all who wrote reviews) and chose it based on the reviews it received. I drove up and kind of took a second look because this restaurant is in what appears to be a metal building but it looked decent so I went in. I sat at the bar and was promtply served by Bryson. Great service. Sushi was AWESOME. They have a full menu of meals as well which I will work on next time I am in town. If you are in the mood for sushi, asian, thai etc., and are in the area, don't miss this place.
