We booked a week here in late October through Interval exchange. The front desk staff was very friendly when we checked in, the only positive thing about our stay. The one bedroom condo was extremely dated, with dingy-looking shag carpet (which there is no way I would walk barefoot on). The beds had polyester quilted bedspreads from the 60s, which I doubt are cleaned between guests. Bathroom floor had a long hair -- I wiped it up with a tissue and saw from the dust and dirt on the tissue that the bathroom floor had not been cleaned since last guest. The final straw was the fourth night when, as we were watching TV in the living room, a mouse scurried across the floor. We packed up and left the next morning. Would never stay here again.

The Hotel is clean, affordable and has the amenities that matter for an extended stay. The staff is friendly, helpful and made the stay amazing. The area has everything you need to get comfortable and be close to shops. I originally booked at an extended stay and that was a nightmare. This place was a pleasant surprise to be able to rest and work after that experience.

Ocean Pines is a dated resort, managed by Capital Vacations. We had a late arrival, received our key and went to the unit. It had not been made up. We called the manager, who was upset the cleaning crew did not clean the unit. She came to the resort and assigned another unit. She took time out of her personal time to fix the situation. The beds were great, the unit was clean and everything was in working order. We were very close to the ocean so could see and hear it when we opened the door to the deck. There are lots of steps, so be prepared. I would stay there again. The manager was great and and helpful with restaurants, etc. Make sure you see Kitty Hawk and the horses on Corolla beach.

We stayed in a 1 BR "A" unit at Maple Ridge, and loved it. The unit was amazingly spacious, with a well equipped kitchen and DR facing the view (nice!), huge LR with fireplace. BR very adequate in size. Bath very small and tight, but if worked. The building itself is probably fairly old (80's?), but the decor and upkeep are lovely and I had to look a while to make sure it was as old as I had thought it would be (we stayed in other parts of the resort several times over the years, and this was the nicest unit we'd had). Wonderful staff. Access to good wellness center. Hard to find a flat enough place for walks , but we succeeded. Snow left over from a previous storm made us leery of the day trips we had planned, but it was a wonderful, relaxing week. VERY good bed!

Staying at Watermen's Retreat was an exceptional experience for me. I had a waterfront room and the views were great. It was fun being able to watch not only amazing sunsets, but also the daily activities on the water as I was one of the students there to learn how to wing foil from Real Watersports. The attached pics are taken from my porch. Dinner at Watermen's Bar and Grill was great and every single staff member I came into contact with was super friendly, helpful and welcoming. I travel a lot and this was truly a great experience on all accounts.

One bedroom condominium suites,on the ocean, fully equipped, will sleep up to four people
Back after Labor Day for a 4th time, and being steps from the beach at One South Lumina while still being fairly reasonable in price is a great combination. Staying in 305 again, and though it is starting to show some wear, it is so close to the beach with great balcony views and overall is a nice comfortable unit. Both property managers Hunter and Jason are excellent to work with and being able to get in your unit before 11am if possible, is another reason we keep coming back.

We hadn’t been here for 8 years; our villa was above hole 15, great views. Nice accommodations, very well equipped; golf clubhouse restaurant not open yet, so we made a few meals in-house. Resort staff great; Ben who booked our visit great to deal with. Golf course is real interesting; 100 foot drops off tee are common; Bermuda fairways dormant, bent greens in nice shape. Recommend
