Visited this restaurant, just 350m up the road from Centre Parcs, to try some different Belgian foods. It has a good seafood selection so tried the scampi in garlic cream sauce, it was refreshing to find the scampi comes without breadcrumbs. My husband and daughter soon polished off the two racks of ribs so they are definitely recommended. My 7 year old enjoyed the meat balls, she had three large home style ones in tomato sauce.We asked for the desert menu and were easily tempted. I had a warm Belgian waffle with sugar which came with a lovely fruit salad. My husband enjoyed the apple pie, my eldest daughter had the children's surprise pancake and the youngest had Friky with strawberry ice cream. Now we are definitely full up!Fortunately you can pay the bill by credit card and the Nationwide give a good exchange rate.

We went with our family for a 4 course menu. The reception was friendly. The dishes are OK but sometimes the flavor combinations in one dish seem too much overdone. Too many different ingredients which makes it difficult to recognize the flavors. The balance is a bit missing. What was annoying was the waiting time. Close to 4 hours for 4 courses is too much. They apologized for the wait for the main course because the restaurant was full.Is OK but if they want to stand out they should really improve. It was very warm in the restaurant and they seem having problems with their climate system. The bottle of red wine we ordered arrived too warm but they asked if temperature was OK and then they put in ice. In my opinion a restaurant at this price level should have a wine fridge.

We ate here twice during a three generational family stay at nearby Center Parcs; the food was good, particularly mussels and pork medallions. Friendly helpful, English speaking staff (you would expect nothing less in Netherlands); good value; reasonable kids menu.The location on the market square, with other places close by, is attractive and both our meals were taken outside in lovely sunshine.Whilst 15 minutes from Kempervennen, this provides a welcome and attractive alternative to the Center Parcs fare.

The concept with a selection of 50+ options is good. Fast order taking and food served fast and fresh.Also for vegetarians and people with gluten allergy it is very suitable.For the little once there is a play area.

On my way to Eindhoven I stopped here for dinner with my partner several days ago.The setting is fantastic and architecture amazing, but to my humble opinion the food did not reflect the quality of the surroundings.My wife had the tarte tatin with chicoree and I had a piece of beef. The tarte tatin had nothing to do with an upside down caramelised tart , it was soggy, certainly not sweet and you had 2 halves of this lovely vegetables placed on a piece of pastry, with the bitter middlepiece not even cut out . The pastry was served on green runnerbeans, O.M.G. logic that it was not crispy and pleasant.I wanted to order my steak rare but the waiting team member was not aware what this meant so I kept it to medium, did not want to discuss, too tired.I had the same vegetables has my wife and truly think that is not good enough for the prices that they charge, the sauce of "shallots" was tasteless and boring.Conclusion: Great setting, friendly enough associates, disappointing food. Wished I drove on to Eindhoven, will do next time!

Promessa is situated in a lovely small Dutch town which is well worth a longer visit than our 15 hours! This restaurant has a lot of competition and choice close by, however we booked based on Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. The restaurant side was not open on the Thursday night we were in town, however the Foodbar offered excellent choice and quality of food, alongside reasonably priced wines and very good and timely service. I tried the distinctively tasting local boar and my wife tried the sole. We then fought over the delightful chocolate, chocolate, chocolate- a must which came with wonderful homemade mint sorbet. We will certainly be returning when in the area.
