Celebrated my birthday with a good Japanese meal. I had some small courses, my husband went for the 8 course experience which were all very tastefull.Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Restaurant has been decorated in a sophisticated way, much use of the colour black.

Sushi and other dishes were fine. We only found the sushi rolls too big due to too much rice. Having been to Japan we've never seen thick rice rolls like that. Service was quite slow, continuously having to ask vs proactive checking in on drinks when glasses appear empty for quite a while, not to mention clearing empty plates and caking for another order. Also, our first order, from ordering to finishing, took over one hour. After that we were in a cadence of about 30 mins which was for us fine. Not sure why it took so long but we read about this in other reviews and we're paying attention to it because of that, and it turned out to be true. It was 80% full so not fully booked. Not sure if we would return.

The restaurant was packed when we visited but despite some dishes that took a little while longer, it's impressive how the restaurant manages. The staff is very friendly, the food arrives quite fast after ordering and above all, it's great quality. We were a table of 6 and we tried a lot of different things, and there was nothing that we didn't like. Drink prices are more than reasonable as well, although the water is quite expensive. Which is not really a problem given the quality and quantity of the food considering the price. It's a great sushi place that we'll definitely visit again.Thank you Lfhooge for your review.
