It is located between the towns Waalwijk and 's-Hertogenbosch. The municipality of Heusden, including Herpt, Heesbeen, Hedikhuizen, Doeveren, and Oudheusden, merged with Drunen and Vlijmen in 1997, giving the municipality its current form.

There used to be a different restaurant on this spot but since a while there is an Italian restaurant at the corner of the central square in Drunen and it is more plush than the name "La Cantina" suggests. It has nice seats and tables for different sizes of parties and only when you are with 6 or more people it is necessary to make a reservation. In front of the restaurant there is also a big terrace outside overlooking the square with plenty of sunshine (because it is situated southwards).We were quickly served with drinks and the menu and also made aware of some extra dishes which were also written on the blackboards in the restaurant area. We both chose a pizza and I added some extra toppings. After about 20 minutes the pizzas were served and very conveniently we each got a pizza slicer with our cutlery to nicely cut the pieces to eat them. I never saw this anywhere else so far! The taste of the pizzas was excellent, well cooked with enough ingredients and toppings to have a delicious meal. In spite of some other reviews we were pleasantly surprised with the dining experience here and we surely will come again. Staff was quick and friendly and the place was almost full which is also a good sign. Prices are moderate and there is a wide selection of different Italian dishes to choose from.

Enjoyed our dinner at Isolani. The staff is partly Italian which gives it a nice touch. I was not that impressed about the antipasti but liked the main course and desert.

Chose this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and as it was close to Efteling. TA website offered a 20% discount if reserved via a link that didnât work. Phoned restaurant to book and owner said heâd put discount info in the book. Turned up and had good service from friendly waitresses. Pizza was average but did the job. Dutch restaurants donât seem to offer tap water so the â¬11.80 charge for 2 bottles of water was a shock (think us Brits are so used to free jugs of water). On receiving the bill the discount wasnât added. Waitress couldnât deal with this so called manager who gave some story about only a few chosen customers get the discount and his father did not agree to give discount. After some debate (and poor attitude) he gave 10% discount. Would have given this place 4 stars if didnât have this issue. Was made feel we were demanding something not previously agreed. Shame it spoilt a nice evening.
