After a long journey from the south of France I asked the manager where we were staying for a recommendation. He recommended O Commerce. We went full of expectation of a nice meal and a treat after our long journey. The place was packed with French people which I took to be a good sign. The food must go down as one of the worst meals I have ever had in France. And that's saying something. I won't bore you with the details except to say that the chips that accompanied our grizzly leather that was meant to pass as steak were the shape of mc donnells Chips except nearly burnt, soggy and greasy. There were no accompanying vegetables with the steak or the salmon. When we were finished our poor starters, the waitress came to remove the plates and put the used cutlery back on the table for the next course. If this had been back in Ireland we would have given it back and refused to pay. It wouldn't have been served in the first place. Anyway what amazes me is that the French people seem to think that this type of thing is great. I've seen it all over France. French people mopping up rubbish food and thinking its great. I lived in England for many years and it wouldn't be tolerated there either. The places would have closed down long ago. Enough of my rant, glad I got it off my chest though. Don't eat here.

This place is a gem. The setting, the hosts and the food are perfect. The prices are incredible value. Buffet d'entrées, la fraîcheur est au rendez-vous. Un choix de 5 plats est proposé. Mon choix se porte vers un filet de merlu et son risotto accompagné de légumes tel panais, patate douce.....un régal visuel et gustatif. Je termine avec une salade de fruits. La serveuse est professionnelle et sympathique. Encouragements au jeune chef dont la cuisine mérite d'être connue.
