Reviews on Bar food in Alofi, Niue. With a population of just over 600 people, Niue's humble capital, Alofi, is home to much of the island nation's industry, its government and the only bank in the country. The area is marked by steep limestone cliffs, coastal caves and the beautiful Alofi Bay. 2004's Cyclone Hete caused extensive damage to the southern half of the city, but essential services such as the hospital and government buildings have since been rebuilt in more protected locations.

We stopped here for dinner and a drink on the Sunday night and it was an awesome bar with the their honesty policy system. The food was all good, everyone had burgers and they were tasty and made pretty quickly. The sunset was pretty magical and the beach is an awesome spot for snorkelling as you can go off the reef a lot easier here so can see a lot of the bigger fish species. A must visit on your Sunday

Return visit to Niue also meant a return to Vaiolama. Stopped by twice in our week long stay on Niue. Great toasted sandwiches, although strangely they added mustard to the Ham/Cheese/pineapple toasty - but still nice. Mango/passion smoothie is fantastic. Great views undercover or out on the deck are in the sun. Relaxed and casual.

Given Niue only has UHT milk available the staff manage to make excellent coffee. Combine this with their fantastic view and itâs an easy 5stars. The banana cake and chocolate cookies are also a great accompaniment to the morning coffee stop.
