Rosco's Pizza opened its doors November of 2010 in the Alaskan fishing community of Ninilchik. The idea was simply to create FANTASTIC FOOD in a fun, casually ALASKAN ATMOSPHERE served with GENUINE HOSPITALITY at a price that keeps people coming back. We use top shelf ingredients in our hand crafted PIZZAS, BURGERS, SUBS & SANDS, SALADS and DESSERTS. Rosco's is open YEAR 'ROUND for lunch and dinner - dine in or take out orders. Visit us at our convenient location next to the Ninilchik General Store or visit us online at our Facebook page or Call for further information or takeout orders.
We drive 20 miles each way to eat at Roscoe's Pizza - it is that good!!! Everything is made to order with fresh ingredients. The pizza is fabulous and we also really like their calzones. They have daily specials as well as other items. And,...MoreWe love that you make the trip just to come visit us. Thanks for the kind words!

We saw the sign as we were driving from Soldotna to Homer and decided it was time for coffee. We got a mocha milkshake, a caramel latte extra sweet and a snicker-doodle cookie at the suggestion of the owner. He also gave us a lot of good information about the Kenai Peninsula and made suggestions for things to see. He gave us a Kenai "Passport" and told us how to use it.
We got great coffee items and a lot of good information. By the way, two days later we stopped again on our way to Anchorage and he remembered us and asked about what we had seen and done in Homer.

Keen Kow Thai Food is the most authentic and least expensive Thai restaurant on the Kenai Peninsula. Chef Nina is from Hat Yai, Phuket, Thailand and she has 25 years experience creating food from the Southern region of Thailand.
Not sure why all the best places turn out to be the ones out-of-the-way but this is a Peninsula gem. It's a very laid back atmosphere but you get the direct personal attention of the owners/ head chef to ensure your experience is top notch. We had the Slow roasted pork with Thai gravy with complimentary cucumber infused water. So, if you're ever passing through the quaint small town of Ninilchik stop by Keen Kow and enjoy!!

Nice little roadside cafe on Oil Well Rd just off of Sterling Hwy (Alaska #1). The food was delightful (and plentiful), the prices were very good, and the owner was super nice. It was mid-afternoon and he came out from behind the counter and had a cup of coffee with us. Quite nice!

Unfortunately, we followed the advice of a travel guide book - either Moon or Lonely Planet to discover food which was pre-cooked, stored in the refrigerator only to be micro-waved before our eyes.
The experience to be had here is the slightly obnoxious owner who tries to sell you everything under the sun - including her CD or video. Nina has a lot of tchotchke to sell.
The best part is the drive to her restaurant and the memorable photo op where she takes a picture of you with the colorful background. Go for the experience - not the quality of food.
Drop Down menu forced us to take the oldest date of April 2013. My memories were triggered by a relative who is visiting Alaska in 2014, which now prompted me to enter a review on Trip Advisor.
