really good Chinese restaurant, maybe even the best in town. Quality of the food never fails to impress (try the duck!) and the service is excellent. If you cannot choose, you can take two half portions for main dish =)

Like much of the Netherlands, the food here can be what is termed "Indonesian-Chinese"...but stick to the normal Chinese menu (predominantly Cantonese style) and you will be OK. The food was pretty good, if a little mild for those used to good Asian food. The restaurant is huge, and has a 1980s "Chinese Dynasty" feel to it. Good service. If you need some spice in Nieuwegein and can't be bothered to make it out to Utrecht, go here. It's not an obvious choice - but it will do the job.
Note that they don't serve tap water (expensive bottled water only), and that if you ask for an extra chilli on the side for added spice, you will be charged EURO 3.

Minos Pallas is a typical Greek restaurant with the typical common dishes. Also the layout of the restaurant, music and atmosphere will give you the feeling that you are in Greece. Even when the place is crowded as it was when we visited you get pretty fast served your meal. the only minor thing we can mention is that it is hard to get a parking spot in the area when you go by car. Otherwise you get good value for money.

We had lunch here in September 2016.
It is a beautiful location although it was a little tricky to find as it wasn't that well signposted.
We had the surprise 3 course lunch option. Every course was beautifully presented, with exceptional flavours. The matching wines were really well chosen too.
Highly recommend.

An unpromising location (where it's easy to park) until you see the view behind the building. An unpromising entrance, giving way to a splendid wine cellar style dining room. A promising menu that should give you the confidence to order the "specialty" of the house: the surprise menu. Just tell them how many courses you want, sit back and relax. If you have dietary restrictions, it's even better: they actually listen and come up with surprisingly good variations or alternatives.
Each dish is on the small side. Close your eyes, taste as well as you can, combine different parts of the dish. Unless you are a really big eater not only will you have had enough, you will have enjoyed your dessert as much as your first dish. Multiply that by generous portions of innovation and creativity. Unusual, but excellent combinations of ingredients make your meal as adventurous as a South Pole cruise. Set your prejudices aside and let the chef take you by the hand into a land you could not have dreamt up yourself. They passed my own simplistic test of attention to detail with flying colours: excellent bread and very good coffee.
The negatives are really piddling. The acoustics are bizarre so the place can seem loud. If there is a wine chart I didn't see it and I sensed a strange aversion against French wines. These points are more than offset by an attentive, understanding and charming service.
One day, Michelin will find them.

With no pretention and full of ambition, a young team is ready to give you the best!Fine international quality cuisine with a focus on the best fresh ingredients.Chef Leon Mazairac and it's team prepare a monthly changing fixed 3 and 7 course menu.Everything is freshly produced, homemade bread and delicate, but recognizable dishes. In a relaxed and correct ambiance, the service staff will take care of all your needs. The sommelier will serve you perfectly matching wines. There is also a great wine list with (natural) european wines, or classic well known domaines.
This is such a beautiful establishment with elegant rooms I was unnecessarily worried that the dinning experience would not live up to expectations.
The chef conducts his preparation with such technique and skill the food was sumptuously presented and tasted better.
Three amuse bouche followed by eel then lobster and brill I was delighted. Each ingredient lovingly sourced, prepared and presented fine dining indeed. Service was informed relaxed attentive and coordinated.
The best meal I have had in Utrecht, Amsterdam and many other countries. This was a culinary tour de force a perfect way to introduce my starving student daughter to oysters, pigeon, sweet breads and good wine.

Bijzonder restaurant waar het echt het gevoel geeft alsof je bij iemand thuis eet. Super lekker eten waar veel aandacht aan wordt besteed en het iedereen naar z'n zin maakt. Echt geweldig! De moeite waard!
Very nice diner in a great looking reataurant. Former garage, turned into a beautiful restaurant. We ate upstairs where it was very hot... (summer). You may want to make sure you eat outide or downstairs when it's hot.
Food was good, not great. Service was great.

We stayed for two nights. It was a repeat stay, so you're not surprised that we recommend this hotel. It's a little bit complicated to find your room, but it's a nice exercise.
The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but pleasant.
We had twice breakfast, which is very good.
Staff is very pleasant.

This restaurant is situated underneath the old City Hall of IJsselstein which was build in 1560. Modern style combined in and old location gives it a nice cosy atmosphere. A young crew who manage to provide a good quality food experience. You can order food in two portion sizes, this way you can create your own tasting menu which is fun. The menu changes every 3-5 months with a few stayers. Food quality is good with some affordable wines and different beers.
In spring and summer they also have a Terrace where you can have lunch, dinner or just drinks. Uncomplicated nice place to visit!
