The first international brand hotel in the country. Located in the capital of the West African country Niger on the Boulevard de Republique, nearby the Palais de Congress, the Old Presidential Palace and international embassies, we are in one of the city’s safest and most esteemed locations.
One of the best hotel in Africa, with the most professional and courteous customer care. Rooms are well designed, spacious and attention by the staff (all staff indeed) is simply fantastic. The facilities are well laid and although touted as place for business in Africa expats - it is a great place to unwind, relax and pampered by ever so helpful and courteous staff. The downfall for the hotel would be its high room price tag - especially in the long term.

satisfied with my stay, the staff is very pleasant both in reception and in other services (restaurants, Roof top, room staff ..) the meals are correct and well diversified. Close to the city center. there are mini lounges to accommodate our guests and practical reception rooms for business meetings and / or lunches.the pool side is appreciable with the possibility of dining on site

The hotel is not far from the airport and other government offices if that is your reason to visit Niamey, this allows to bypass traffic in the mornings and at the close of work. The breakfast baguette was really good and brewed coffee was the best I have had in two weeks of travels through multiple countries. The prices at the restaurant were reasonable, there are also other eating options walking distance from the hotel.

Visited in October 2019, stayed two nights. Hotel is clean with good security, close to the Grand Marches. Service is good, people very helpful, hotel being old need maintenance and upgrade. On arrival very first night we found cockroaches roaming around in the room, on request for spraying the room, it was spread and cleaned again and we did not see any more cockroaches. Overall hotel is fine for the price.

Where to even begin with this place? And really it all comes down to POOR management/ownership, whom it is very clear doesn't care about their guests. Stayed several weeks and here is what was experienced. First and foremost, the AC was not working so it was poor sleeping. Staff said they were trying to fix it but didn't appear that it ever really worked, ever. Had to use a floor fan, were it not for that sleeping would've been unbearable. Second, the filth of this place. Carpets with stains that I am sure date back to, decades? Hallways rooms bathroom towels, all stained with, well, who knows, who wants to know! Outside area littered with trash and garbage bins not EVER emptied. The hotel hosted conferences for dignitaries and still garbage bins had the same trash and were always overflowing. Breakfast, went down one morning just to get a pastrie and take to my room and was stopped, no food allowed out of restaurant. Really? Saw several people carrying food out of there to their rooms on several days. Poor selection as well on breakfast. Asked house keeping to come to room to change up bed change towels etc. Called again an hour later, No show. I could add more but no point. Hotel Hell. Four star hotel? by what standard. No one was expecting the Ritz but these basic things that I mentioned, considering the price, over 100$ US, what a scam. Front desk staff were either completely indifferent or didn't care attitude. The only positive that I can mention is that the wifi worked fairly well considering the location. Go to the Grand, Much better
