Nothing special here. Busy on a Sunday after church but we only waited 5 minutes to be seated.
Young man took our order and didn’t write it down. Pet peeve of mine and I know many people who eat out. Never works and you’re “impressing “ me with your memory. Because they always forget. Sure enough ten minutes after ordering “what side did you have again?” When dinner arrived “everything look good?”, we respond “honey mustard?”, and the “oh yeah, that’s right.” And we follow with “and hot tea ?” We ordered simple meals.
Memo to all servers WRITE DOWN THE ORDER.
Servers and waitstaff were nice , and even in a local restaurant like this where we would expect “local” service, meaning mostly high school kids , basic training failed.
We had the fish and chips and a Rueben sandwich. Nothing good, nothing bad. It was food. It was only $7-8 each per plate. Service was slow, very slow. Owner came by and told us he used to run another restaurant in town with 250 sears, they have a spaghetti special, how was everything. As we started to answer his cell phone rang. He answered it and walked away.
So he can maybe read our answer here. It’s a small town. We like to shop local if we can. You didn’t give us any reason to come back. Slow service. Food is OK. Servers not trained in even basic duties (write down the order ), and the owner asked a question of his GUESTS, and walked away with his phone call clearly telling us “this call is way more important than your answer.”
Tons of choices for lunch after church and dinner during the week. We won’t be back.

We proudly serve Boar's Head Meats and Cheeses on our gourmet sandwiches and salads. We offer fresh homemade baked goods including cake and custom cakes. Enjoy fresh coffee, lattes, frappes, and smoothies. Hand dipped Ice Cream and milkshakes made with Tony's Ice Cream.
I ate here while in town on business. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place - an old shop with dining tables scattered around and a kitchen in the back where you order. I enjoyed my sandwich and the home-made BBQ sauce that accompanied it. If you're in town and looking for something more than a basic deli sandwich, you need to head here. Oh, did I mention that they also have several home-made and delicious desserts? Yeah, I see your mouth watering!

This was our first visit to this ice cream parlor.
As we approached the steps to go up to the front door, you could see it was in need of some repair and painting. And the door needs help, too.
Once inside, it was nothing fancy for décor. One of the booth seats was torn.
The only server was friendly and courteous.
As we started looking at the display case, they had a good variety of flavors of ice cream. Some quite original. It was hard to choose.
They offer a waffle cone that's dipped in chocolate on the top portion of it.
We ordered "Clergy Coffee" which was a creamy smooth coffee ice cream with almonds and chocolate swirl. Delicious!!
The other flavor was a creamy vanilla ice cream with small peanut butter cups, and Oreo cookie pieces. We don't remember the name. But it was also delicious!
The cones were fresh, crisp and good to the last bite.
We saw a family come in and order banana splits. They were large and looked very good. Like a meal in itself.
We would definitely recommend this place!
We will go back again for sure!

Our favorite pizza place closed so we ordered here. Tomato, mozzarella and basil pizza with thin crust. Ordered at 5:15, told 30 minutes. Got there order at 6:15.
They don't do thin crust. Generous toppings, but they don't do thin crust.
Watched the madness of wrong orders and confusion.
We will eat here again if we can't find somewhere else.

I like to eat here on Thursday evenings for the balloon man to make balloon designs for the kids. He is very talented and will make what ever your child can think of wanting to take home. The food bar is good and offers a...MoreThank you so much for the great review! We're glad you enjoy Dylan being here on Thursday nights. We appreciate you and your continued support!!

We've been to El Paso a number of times, both for work lunches and for dinner with family. The food doesn't seem to be as good as it was when they first opened. There's a bar where you can serve yourself a variety of salsas. That's a nice feature, but most of them are either quite hot or tasteless. The guacamole doesn't taste like there's any avocado in it - it's just green glop. However, my husband really likes the bean dip. The service is generally fast and the restaurant appears clean and festive, but the bathrooms are not always so clean and could stand some updating.

This place has great ambiance, friendly staff, and excellent food. The wine and beer selection, while not huge, is a quality selection. If I lived close by I would join their wine club, which offers many perks - but unfortunately I'll probably only get by there once a year. Next time I'm in the neighborhood I will find time to stop by.

I visited this location based off of reviews while passing through Newton. The outside of the building had me thinking I was making a bad decision but after my meal was over, I knew I had made a good choice. While I won't claim they have the best bbq in the state, the sliced bbq sandwich was very good as was the sweet tea. However, my favorite aspect was their sauce. The sauce complimented the bbq very well and I would definitely stop by this restaurant when passing through Newton again.

With an Asian grocery store less than a mile away, I expected something great. I had to ask for the herbs to go with my Bun Thit Heo/Bo Nuong, as it was just served with lettuce and cucumber, but they were in the kitchen and the waitstaff was glad to bring basil and cilantro and jalapenos. Most people seemed to be ordering "Japanese" hibachi style plates. Cheap meal in a fast food style decor.

This local, family run, institution is a mainstay in Newton. If there is no crowd then, the Dairy Center is not open. I have had breakfast here several times. Always excellent. The gravy biscuit and grits are great. The tables tops have laminated year book pages from years gone by.
