Genova Italian Restaurant isn't just another eating establishment in Newton Kansas, Genova is a dining experience! Each of our dishes can be personalized to the diner's taste and our food is homemade daily. Check out our specials and be sure and leave room for one of our tasty desserts.
Absolutely loved the chicken piccata! Our group had a lasagna combo plate and a delicious chicken with creme sauce plate. (I can't remember the name, it was a special not on the menu). This restaurant was hands-down better tasting and better quality than any Italian restaurant in Wichita. The atmosphere is diner style with little decor, but you will forget about that after you take one bite of your Tiramisu.

This was my first visit since ownership changed. I really like the expanded hours, but I didn't think the donuts were quite as good. It's still a great donut shop.

A historic building with tall ceilings and quiet lighting. Great for a breakfast and lunch.
After my delicious meal at Montana Mike’s, we came here for ICE CREAM!
I had a banana split – TO DIE FOR! It was wonderful. Been several years since I had one and I had forgotten how wonderful they are. I had also forgotten how huge they are! It was delicious.
The young girl that waited on us was very nice and made it just the way I like it – no nuts (allergies).
I had to wipe down the table. It was a mess. They also have a few more tables than really fit in the floor space.

Norm's offers a wide selection of classic espresso drinks, brewed coffee, blended drinks and teas. We also serve premium breakfast and brunch items.
Just a great place to be. A variety of choices for all kinds of drinks. Relaxing atmosphere in small-town USA.

Brick oven pizza.
Nice friendly staff. Ok ambience. PizZa so overrated. Lousy marinara sauce. The pizza was actually cold. We ordered three and maybe the supreme was sitting waiting for the other two to get done. It tasted like a frozen cheap pizza when you take it out too early with soggy watery cool vegetables. The meats were kind of boring. The margarita equivalent pizza had olive oil drizzled on it but not good quality very bitter. Crust was alright. Pretty good. But basically artisan pizza place that fails. Poorly cooked and too soft and doughy crust. Will never go back.

Cinnamon rolls were warm and practically melted in our mouths. Bread pudding with frosting?!; French toast; pancakes....all very good...now for the protein...
The Western eggs were yummy on this Sat. buffet for $8.00. We spend over for twice as much for breakfast, at a more "upscale" place, and we both agree this restaurant has better food... a better value if you overlook the simple atmosphere. I especially liked the potatoes. Not greasy, and had very good flavor. I didn't care for the plain scrambled eggs....I didn't try the rest of the buffet, the meats like sausages, and bacon all looked prepared with care-not over done and greasy....
We were pleased and will return with friends. Atmosphere is like a small town Mom and Pop's. Local artists' oils on the wall, added a little color and interest to the walls. A clean restaurant and the staff is friendly.

So I am here in the middle of nowhere - Newton and I think "why not try some Mexican?" its my favorite food and how bad can it be?? Rolled into Casa Flesta and had two Quesadillas [because the first one was so good...] and a Beef Enchilada, plus a massive Palpatron Margarita plus a shot of Anejo Herradura for $26. It was excellent. I literally ordered and a couple of minutes late the food or drink was in front of me. I had work to do and didn't get time between orders to finish it. Well done to these guys and if I'm ever back this way...

This was an unexpected surprise we discovered accidentally while traveling in the area. With both gluten-free and vegan options, we were able to find meals that met our dietary restrictions. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make sure our needs were met. Best of all, the food was delicious.

My son and I had breakfast. CJ's is pretty much a typical small town diner. Plain decor (train pictures - Newton is a train town). Friendly waitress. Decent prices. I would guess that most of the patrons were regulars. I had the regular stack of blueberry pancakes, sausage (patty) and a large hot chocolate. Son had regular pancakes, bacon, scrambled egg. The food was good. The blueberry pancakes were loaded with blueberries. The large hot chocolate was normal coffee mug size - I can't imagine what the size of the regular would be.
Decent place and food. Just nothing special.

Looking for great comfort food in Newton? This is the place. The food is cooked fresh. We had the chicken fried steak dinner and it was one of the best I have ever had. Check out the daily specials. We didn't have dessert but it appears to be all homemade.
