With over 80 guestrooms to choose from, including junior suites, Jacuzzi suites and kid’s suites, check in and check out Super 8 Motel St. John’s. We’re the first choice where most travelers stay for hotels and motels in St. John’s, NL. Why? It could be our great rooms, featuring super comfortable beds, modern furnishings, mini-fridge and microwave. Perhaps it’s our free Super Start breakfast or complimentary high-speed Internet access. Maybe it’s our shimmering indoor heated pool with waterslide and hot tub
Stayed two nights while visiting St John's. The hotel is located in a most residential location... making it nice and quiet for a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful... they are still having a person to pick out what you wanted for breakfast/ Overall, place is what you expected from a Super 8. But it is good value for the money.

This hotel was clean, well-maintained. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had good amenities. The beds were very comfortable. There was no elevator which was not a big deal for us, but may be an issue for others, so if you need an elevator, ask for a ground level room. There was not a lot of noise for the outside which made our night very enjoyable. As well, there is not breakfast included, but there is a Jungle Jim’s restaurant on site. There is a coffee machine in the lobby. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room was spacious, clean., and lots of towels . We had a pet friendly room but except for a few scratches on the door we would not have known we were in the pet friendly room.(we did have our dog with us). The only unprofessional thing I saw was that while the front desk clerk was answering a question for me the manager was in her office yelling at the clerk to do something rather then coming out of the office and saying excuse me. Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Melissa in housekeeping thank you. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and most certainly will stay there again.

Stay in the heart of central NL, an ideal location for you to feel at home while surrounded by the rustic beauty of Newfoundland wilderness. We’re close to multiple hiking trails, amazing fishing holes, trail way access, and a short drive to the ocean for breathtaking views of icebergs and whales. Explore during the day and unwind in the evening in one of our comfortable, clean rooms.
The most important thing for me in a place I'm sleeping at is how clean it is. This motel is clean and well kept. They take a good approach to covid and although Newfoundland has lifted the ban on mask, they still require masks, which I support. Unfortunately they didn't have air conditioning, but the rooms did have small fans. The person I suspect is the owner was very friendly and made you feel welcomed. I would gladly stay here again

Enjoy your stay in Gander!
The staff was friendly, and breakfast at the restaurant was good. The room itself was clean. The floors in the hallway seemed like they needed to be vacuum though, almost like salt on the stairs. I’m also not sure about every room, but our room had no mini fridge or microwave. I wasn’t surprised by the microwave part but thankfully we had a cooler in the car. We were able to refill the ice from the ice machine but it was a definite disadvantage not having somewhere to place items that need to stay cool. Anyone without a cooler would be out of luck for anything that needs to be kept cold. Overall, it was good for the night.

As 2 couples traveling together we booked a 2 bedroom cabin rather than 2 rooms in the motel. The walls were thin but we were exhausted and didn't hear anything once we went to bed. The cabin was clean and large enough for 4 adults. We were close to the harbour and the lighthouse. Added bonus was seeing the caribou herd in the morning. Dinner at the restaurant was good. Good choices, good prices and good staff. Oddly, booking a cabin for 4 adults we only received 2 free breakfasts?!?

Our room was smelly and dirty. I cleaned the filthy doorknobs, and bathroom sink with lestoil wipes from my car! I went to the dollar store and bought an air freshener to help with the musty room smell. The bathtub had no slip bathmat and it was slippery! The bathroom heater was covered in hair, no tissue in the tissue holder, only one chair in a room with 2 double beds, and no air conditioner! The hot water was far from hot! BUT The Gallery, the hotel restaurant, had excellent food.

The room was fine- nice enough- though no coffee, no microwave, no snacks,, or information about hotels amenities. Had to phone front desk for wifi password. We eat dinner later between 7-8 and got settled in had a drink and called to get room service- no room service. So we thought we’d go downstairs, called at 7:15 to see what we could order as there was no information in the room. Was told we closed 7pm?. So I ask about ordering through the pub and though is was written up that we could order from 7pm -12am from the pub when we tried to order was told the only thing available was fries and wings. It was very disappointing as this is an isolated place and we had no other options. They need to inform their guest room service is not available and meals are not available after 7pm.
