Popped in before heading out for another day on the Alps2Ocean trail. This place is easy to miss on this small town high street, so keep your eyes peeled!Very friendly and helpful staff. I had a flask of coffee and a freshly baked cheese scone wrapped in foil for teatime on the trails.Recommended.

What a lovely little town, so nice to find a cheery greeting and a nice warm, clean restaurant, especially when you are hungry. Try their delicious soup, Pumpkin and Kumera served with two slices of toast, my friend had a seafood soup which looked chunky and delicious too. Both plates were filled to the brim! We enjoyed a coffee while reading one of the good selection of books there. Loved our drive to this far away place!

I was travelling late in the day about 6pm, it was dark and very cold, the parking was easy and building looked inviting. I fancied a hot snack, being hungry and having travelled several hours. Amongst takeout, I selected a pottle of chips, the lady was so friendly and due to the lateness of the day, did not charge me. This genuine gesture of friendly help is so often not seen these days, and here the lady was most gracious. I really enjoyed the place and the eats, whilst travelling on towards Waimate in the cold & dark.
