Owned and operated by the Barnes Family since 1959, London Lennieâs has evolved from a quintessential fish-nâ-chips shop to the premier seafood restaurant in Queens. London Lennieâs is notorious for the best in fresh, local seafood selected daily at the w
We went to this restaurant to celebrate our friendâs 80th birthday. Although we traveled a distance to eat here because we wanted a special dinner, our waiter seemed uninterested in serving us. A simple request for an extra glass was met with the response: itâll be a few minutes. Really? The bar was a few feet away. When we told him that we were ready to order, he told us he would take it in a few minutes. This was how the whole lunch went. My request for no garlic was not heeded and was sick all evening. He even forgot to put a candle on the birthday girlâs dessert even though he was told. This is not a cheap restaurant - the bill was about $50 per person for lunch. Unfortunately the tip was automatically added, otherwise I would have left far less. There was no need to please us when you know you are getting 18% of the bill. We will never go here again! He truly spoiled the day for everyone, but especially the birthday celebrant.

My husband and Imwere staying at the Parc Hotel next door to the restaurant and decided to stop in before attending a Mets game. He ordered an oyster tray and was practically drooling while eating them! We just ordered a few appetizers and we were not disappointed. The ear of corn was smothered in butter, cheese, and seasoning and was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the plate of garlic noodles. I am a noodle lover and these were the best I have ever had. I wanted to lick the bowl. The hostess was very friendly and came over to chat, asking where we were from, asking if we enjoyed our meal, and telling us of the specials being offered the next day. My only regret is that we were not able to return to enjoy more food. A hidden gem in Flushing.

Imperial Palace is in Flushing, NY. It is a wonderful Cantonese restaurant that serves good old fashioned Cantonese dishes. It also specializes in seafood. The waiters are good and efficient. The food is excellent and the prices very competitive. There is a special lunch menu with meals starting at $6.99. For that price, I received a bowl of delicious house soup, a bowl of rice and a dish of delicious chicken & vegetables. The place is always crowded, however, the place is big and I usually get a table quickly. Next time you have an urge for Chinese food, give Imperial Palace a try.

The best octopus this side of Greece. The calamari is not bad either. Lemon potatoes as a side are a great compliment. The fried potatoes were not as appreciated.

It's a bit out of the way in College Point and the parking lot can get crowded, but the food is pretty good with a good variety of Asian choices. We came early on a Saturday at 5:30pm. The place was not crowded yet and everything was well-stocked. The restaurant looked clean and well-maintained. If you're facing west, you get a nice glimpse of sunset and the Manhattan skyline.

Mythos authentic Greek Cuisine provides Greek food and dining to the flushing, NY area.
The food here reminds me of the food I have eaten in Greece. It is very authentic tasting and is served by Greeks. Be prepared to eat too much and take a doggy bag home. Although your main course portions will be huge and delicious, do not skimp on the appetizers which are excellent. I could make a meal on just the dips and bread. We tried the salmon, chicken breast, mousaka, and pastitsio and all were excellent. The only complaint I have is their use of canned vegetables. We were there in September when there is a glut of local produce available and yet we were served canned peas. Also they have a pretty limited wine-by-the-glass selection - mostly California. In any event, if you want genuine and delicious Greek food, go here.

This restaurant did not get a Michelin star but was written up as a "notable" destination. On closer examination they liked the main courses, and we went for Dim Sum. Very good variety of dim sum but really poor quality. One of the many tests of a place like this are the rice noodle dishes. At their best the noodle is soft and chewy and very thin. These were thick and doughy. Congee is another test of mine and this one was thin and watery and missing the many great ingredients associated with this dish. First congee I did not finish and I have a pretty wide latitude. The food was tired, and many of the dishes had been around too long before serving, although we arrived at 11AM as the appointed hour to get the freshest dishes. We had the custard tart desserts, and although the crust was flakey and good, the custard itself was not at its freshest. We did get good chrysanthemum tea by having Siri translate it into Mandarin.
