Came here by myself during a business trip. The service was very good and the food was very tender and tasty. I had a hibachi combination of filet mignon and chicken. The portions are big and the price is very reasonable for what you get. I am planning on bringing my group back here. Highly recommended.

The food at our restaurant is as authentic as home cooking can get, as if prepared from the fingers of my mother and grandmother which is not only a privilege but the highest degree of gratification. We approach every dish prepared as if we are catering t
Great place! We enjoyed a huge portion of unusual but subtly spiced chicken (shish leek murgh) which was delicious! We asked the waiter if he could identify the spices for us, but he told us that the recipe was a secret. Our friend enjoyed her generous spinach and lamb dish (sabsi chalaw) The restaurant is very traditionally decorated with Afghan rugs. Service was fine. This restaurant is a winner!Thank you kindly for your words. We work hard at making sure we leave each and every one of our patrons with great smiles and a happy stomach. Please come back and visit us soon.

We LOVE this Japanese restaurant! I cannot believe when someone writes a negative review of this restaurant. ALWAYS, food is fresh and delicious. ALWAYS service is with a smile. We eat at sushi restaurants all over the world and would highly recommend Kohaku. Ken is the owner and head sushi chef. He is always overseeing every little thing in the restaurant. It was very, very busy last night. We were treated to a free sake and a free edamame bowl. What more can you ask. They are the BEST sushi and Japanese food around. No pretension, not fancy.....just excellent food.

A small group of us went here after work for dinner and conversation. Jani's menu has variety, service was good, restaurant was clean, everyone enjoyed what they ordered and most importantly we were able to stay several hours to continue our conversations without being rushed out of the restaurant.

Went here with family while visiting Long Island. Located in front of the Walt Whitman mall. Service was very good. The food is just kind of bland. Drinks were pricey. There are some bargain appetizers if you get here for Happy Hour. We didn't.

PROS: good food, great hibachiCONS: very small portions, you walk out hungry ...................I should really eat here everyday; Iâd be skinny in no time. I have never seen such small portions; I wrongly thought French restaurants served small portions but this place makes French servings seem Italian family style portions.
Food was better than expected - good taste and presentation wasnât over the top like some other sushi restaurants in the area do . Those places put flowers and decorate their sushi with unneeded colorings to make up for low quality sushi .Service was attentive as well .I liked the low lighting and calming music being played . I subtracted a star only because I am a fan of good liquors and was disappointed on the limited selection of Japanese whiskies and top shelf sake .

This is a very pretty place inside a lovely hotel. They say this lunch buffet is Chinese, Indian and Thai. It is basically an Indian buffet. Not bad, but misleading. The bad part was that they didn't offer Naan until we had eaten a bunch, and then the rest got cold. they should offer the Naan as you sit down, so you can have it with your food. The saag paneer was good, although cold when the Naan came. The vegetable pankora was good, chicken tikka masala, as expected, could have had more variety of food and the other ethnicities that it said it had. Ok, but there are other buffets out there.
