I have been dining at Tai Show for 6+ years now and every time I go there I am amazed at the quality of the food. From the deep-fried oysters (Never greasy!), to the tuna tataki (EXCELLENT) to the excellent service and wonderful atmosphere with private booths available. I have tried other restaurants closer to my home. Midori was recommended to me, but I tried it twice now and both times left disappointed. The food is just okay and it was way too noisy for a nice sit-down dinner. I also tried Wasabi Japanese Restaurant in Miller Place. Again, the food was just okay. Nice staff there, but I am looking for very good sushi and this didn't match Tai Show. If you want really good Sushi, you must go to Tai Show in East Setauket. You won't be disappointed, I promise you.MaryRocky Point.

This sushi restaurant does use very high grade sushi when making their rolls and Shashimi. My favorite is the New Zealand roll but the eel, dragon, usa, and California rolls are also excellent. Needs to be a bit more generous with salads and edamame!

This is a new restaurant that took the place of a Chinese restaurant that used to be in this location. Its location in a worn out non-descript little shopping center belies the look and quality of the food inside. The atmosphere was very up to date. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly.That is all well and good. However, the food was excellent. Make sure you order the tuna dumplings. The sushi and sashimi was extremely fresh and beautifully served. I'm told the oysters are also excellent, but we just couldn't eat any more than we did. We'll be back for sure.

I have a favorite sushi place in the Mt Sinai/Miller Place area and I usually donât stray, but I decided to give Hokkaido a chance. The place is beautiful; comfortable seats, sturdy tables, modern design, and cool wallpaper. The service was excellent and my waiter even complimented me on my Star Wars shirt! The food was outstanding. My chicken pad Thai looked exactly like it did in the advertisement and the black noodle and beef was perfectly cooked! Sushi here was also amazing! They had many specials of the dayâ snow pea sprout, sautéed rice cakes, fresh scallops, wild king salmon, and a valentineâs roll. The sesame chicken was to die for!!

I only wish the food was as good as the background music was pleasant. We enjoyed the music a lot, mostly from the Great American Songbook. However, the sushi was very average. We used a Groupon, which I almost forgot about, but even with the lower price of the food it was not such a great deal. Considering the multitude of Sushi Restaurants around, Hana would not be high on my list.

Located in the home goods shopping center, pj sushi has some of the best food and deals around. And they serve Korean dishes too! Service is great, the staff is so friendly, and the place is clean!
