Reviews on Seafood food in Albany, New York, United States. A rich 300-year history, a thriving arts community and seemingly endless wilderness make this New York capital city on the Hudson River a great weekend getaway. Outdoor enthusiasts come here to ski, hike, canoe and fish; trout and small-mouth bass fishing is among the best in the U.S. Mountains surround the city, and the tapestry of golds and reds on an autumn day is breathtaking. The city is dominated by an elaborate 10-building complex that includes the State Capitol; the New York State Museum, with life-like dioramas such as American Indian life and an Adirondack logging operation; and the oval-shaped Empire State Performing Arts Center, nicknamed "The Egg." History buffs will enjoy the colonial homes, historic churches and museums, and can tour 18th-century mansions, like the Schuyler, a superb example of pre-Revolutionary War architecture. Whether nature or history is your passion, you'll find an abundance of both in this upstate New York gem.

I come here periodically for some good basic seafood. I like the seafood platter. I also sometimes get a clam roll or oysters - both good. The fried corn nuggets are great, as well as a fish fry, potatoes or mostly anything else.

Everything they sell is great. Fried stuff is NOT over done, not greasy, not piled with bread crumbs, and NOT over cooked but just right. Small but oh so good.We are so glad that you enjoyed your meal with us. Serving excellent cuisine is important to us and our customers. We look forward to having you back again soon!

I had the clam chowder (bowl) and the Reel Oyster Pack (raw oysters and clams), and we shared the shellfish cobb salad. All were excellent. The salad was huge and had a great deal of seafood. Michael was an attentive server. We got there during happy hour but chose to eat in the dining room off the regular menu. Comfortable seating. A bit pricey but not overly so for the quality. Quite handy to the Hampton Inn (Airport). Could have walked but a hot, humid day.

Known literally around the world for warm and welcoming hospitality, Jackâs Oyster House has been continuously operated by the Rosenstein family since 1913 and is now under the direction of grandson Brad. Along with French Certified Master Chef Luc Pasqui
We stopped in for a mid-afternoon cocktail and something to eat. While the restraint was still empty, the bar attendant was very accommodating. The bar itself is small but comfortable and we were able to stay at the bar to eat. Be warned, not a cheap endeavor.

Family in town to celebrate daughterâs graduation from Clarkson Masters degree program. Barcelona was very good. Unassuming decor feels âMediterraneanâ and foods range from Spanish to Italian. I loved my Zuppa di Pesce. Just the right amount of different seafoods in an extremely spicy red broth (I asked for medium spice. Go mild if you donât want a lot of spice). There is a nice bar where we ordered Palomas while our table was getting ready. My daughter had one of the best seafood Alfredo pastas sheâs ever had. Super rich and creamy. Delicious. The bread was hot and top quality served with butter and an extra olivy olive oil. Service was outstanding, including a congratulatory coconut flan on the house which was to die for. Iâd definitely recommend and go back.

Its lovely to be greeted with acknowledgement of our anniversary plus 2 glasses of Champagne. Husband had Lobster Bisque, Oysters, Rib eye done a perfect med. rare, & Asparagus which was a little too crisp tender. I had their wonderful she-crab soup,a half salad which had a very tasty vinaigrette dressing, & Salmon which was delicious. We ended our dinner with Key lime Pie, & an order of Sorbet. What better way to celebrate. We normally don't dine on this much food, but it was worth the diet we now have to go on. Accolades to Amanda & Ryan who were very attentive to our every need.Thank you for choosing b&b for your anniversary! We hope to have you as our guests again, soon.

Athos was voted one of the 50 Best Greek Restaurants in America by The National Herald. Casually elegant, Athos serves only the very freshest seasonal ingredients, lovingly brought together using time-honored recipes and techniques, like clay pot cooking,
Elegant upscale Greek establishment with excellent service and cuisine. Delicious Athos salad with Bibb lettuce, strawberries, onions, feta and pistachios; Saganaki, grilled octopus, and smashingly fresh dolmathes (no trace of that sickly pickled taste that sabotages most versions). For the entrees, fabulous yiouvetsi with lamb shank and grilled lamb chops. Excellent overall.
