What to do and see in Sylvan Beach, United States: The Best Places and Tips
Although the price is reasonable and the service was very good, itâs clear you get what you pay for. Ribs were over seasoned and tough, mac and cheese tasted like it came from a box, corn bread was actually mini corn muffins, peach cobbler was canned peaches and cold in the middle. All food was lukewarm. Probably wonât be going back.

We occasionally stop by the Sunset when we are in town. This time we strolled in at 11 on a Saturday nightand found about 5 people scattered along the barand a bartender leaning back against the wall.I spoke directly to the bartender twice; oncewith a smiling question, and then again with a quick beerorder, and both times he turned away as if I was invisible.Fine. The third time I leaned over and was more direct,"I would like to order 2 beers."His response was "I know, I'll get to it in a minute" as he turnedand worked his phone a bit. The snotty, ear-to-ear, million dollar smileis what irked me the most ( it clearly said "kiss my *ss" ).I had to say something so I tried,"So you think that smile is gonna get you through life?""It's worked for me so far" he said with such arroganceyou just wanted to smack it off.But of course you don't do things like that in life. You just hope that Karma eventually takes care of it.==================Sylvan beach has always been a favorite of ours - but as everyoneknows it has fallen on hard times - long-time businesses are closing theirdoors right and left - and the crowds seem just a little smallereach season. On this summer visit we encountered pretty rude service at severalrestaurants and even at our favorite motel - the incompetence & indifference combo. Maybe Sylvan beach is winding down because the product they provide has become inferior.====================Of course I don't expect a darn thing to happen to our bartenderfriend. This note might reach the manager there but you can easily imagine them sharing a chuckle and agreeing that businesswould be far more enjoyable for them if it wasn't for thosedarn customers. THAT is why sylvan beach is dying.

We have been here a few times. Besides the prime rib/seafood special (7 oz prime rib) , burgers or one other dish everything is well over $20.00 with most closer ton$30. Entrees do not include salad which is $3-5 more. They only come with 1 side. Food was good but sides were with the wrong entree. Waitress put the food down and left not asking if we needed anything. She didn't return until we were done. Desserts look good but $9-11 is too much for me to spend on a piece of cake. It's an ok place once in a while but be prepared to spend. 2 for 1 margaritas was good but they seemed to forget the alchohol as it did nothing to me. For the price I want fine dining.
