We took our daughter and her fiance to dinner at Bedford last week. It was definitely a hit. We shared 5 dishes, which ranged from stellar to ok. Here's the low-down:The barbecued ribs were devoured by everyone. Absolutely delicious and hit the spot for us carnivores. Ditto the brisket sliders, which were shredded meat. Our server suggested we order 4 instead of 3 so everyone could have a slider. Great suggestion. We also had the poutine. I wanted to try it, and it was not a traditional poutine. The meat gravy was actually thin strands of shredded brisket, and the "cheese" was a cashew-based mild sauce, with none of the "squeak" of cheese curds. It was tasty, but I don't think I would order it again. The crispy brussel sprouts were also tasty, but the portion was small, and inexplicably served last. We also shared the Hawaiian tongue flatbread, which was fair. Miniscule amounts of tongue, with some pineapple, on flatbread. Again, nothing to write home about. We did not order any drinks or dessert and the bill before tip came to $136. In general, for heartier eaters and drinkers, you should probably count on paying $100 per person. And, be sure to make a reservation. The restaurant itself had a nice vibe with brick walls, a neon sign, and felt far, far away from the typical Main Street/Kew Gardens atmosphere and large family crowd.

They have the right amount of food selection. Most of which you will find at any Korean chicken and beer bars. Their chicken was great. Tteokbokki was great. Fries were good. Their prices are a little more expensive than other chicken and beer places in the area. So if you are just going for chicken and beer, there are other places that are just as good for less.Atmosphere is the reason I would recommend this place. Reason why I titled this Korean-American fusion is because of the actual place. Their bar area is like a typical American sports bar. Most of the chicken and beer bars I've been to just have tables without an actual bar area. Also TVs would just show Korean music videos and no real shows. At this place, they actually show sports and all that and play english music. So this will probably be a great spot to watch the superbowl or some other sporting events. So even though this is a Korean chicken and beer spot, it is infused with the American culture and will be a good place for newbies.

The Best Barbecue in NYC! Offering SLOW SMOKED GOODNESS! Home of the "INFAMOUS" BURNT ENDS! Never had them, we suggest you do! Guaranteed to change your life!
I love BBQ and make it a point to trying BBQ whenever I am in a new area.I was looking forward to trying the best BBQ in Queens...Hits and misses....Pros and Cons....Service was very good and very pleasant.Restaraunt was clean.Had a nice Imperial IPA.My brisket was dry with no bark or smoke ring. There was a thin layer of fat that provided the only moisture. See picture.Rib tips were good...but Ive had better. They were out of sauced ribs so I went with dry rub. They were very good.Mac & Cheese was very creamy, not my style but good flavor.Other meals at the table were brunch related and enjoyed. It is probably a true statement, the best in Queens.

We stayed 2 nights at the Holiday Inn and had drinks, lunch, and dinner here. (Breakfast also, not sure if it's the same management though.) For a Holiday Inn bar, this place exceeded expectations. It's your neighborhood bar, only in Queens! They had a good selection of beer, wine, and signature cocktails. If you're used to Manhattan prices this will seem like a bargain. Dinner specials were fantastic, although our server steered us to the Italian specialties, and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. If you're traveling to Citi field from out of town, you're probably like us & searching for a decent restaurant close by. Not many choices for out-of-towners in the area honestly, so you should put this place at the top of your list even if you're not staying at the Holiday Inn. After an afternoon game we found ourselves at the bar with many locals, which seemed to affirm that this place has a solid reputation. Manager frequently circulated to be sure we were satisfied, and we were. We will be back.

The boys got wings. Spicy wings. Spicy, spicy wings.I got...oh lord, I don't know what, but here's a pic. It was rice balls (except they weren't balls, they looked like rigatoni)...and fish..in a spicy tomato sauce.OMG.It was spicy enough to make my nose run, but not make me sweat nastily.Yum.Yum.

El Patron mixes a fine tasting pinacolada and serves tasty dishes. My friend had quesadilla and coconut shrimps appetizers for her meal and was happy with both.My inexpensive Mini Bandeja Paisa was a big oblong plate with grilled steak, one sunny side up, fried pork belly, rice, slice of avocado, half a sweet plantain and a cup of beans. More than a filling meal albeit it is named mini. I could give up the egg and rice for mixed veggies.El Patron has white table cloths, high ceiling, a full bar and pleasant service. Metered street parking was available on a week day at lunch time.

So we usually have standard bar fare here but decided to try something different for lunch. Good quick service and advice from the bartender Natalie. Enjoyed the salmon with horseradish... asked for it blackened at Natalie's suggestion, and really liked it along with the garlic mashed potatoes. DW throughly enjoyed the cranberry chicken salad wrap. Glad we experimented with the regular menu! Looking forward to returning. Natalie also made a great cocktail.
