We stopped for Breakfast at Eveready. The place was a ghost town. Two clients in a huge dining room. The food was good, nothing exceptional. I had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise was probably from a jar or a mix, not really good. Coffee and prices are reasonable.

Had a very solid meal here. Typical diner food with reasonable prices and big portions. Lunch sets are very worthwhile with a soup and a drink. Crab in fish was particularly good, along with the moussaka. Food was served fast and staff were very pleasant. Definitely worth a visit. Expect to spend around usd 12-18 per person.

Large menu. Standard diner fare. I had fried filet of sole, my husband had lamb chops. I liked my fish, he didn't like the lamb chops. We will give it another try, but stick to hamburger or eggs.
Tried Frankies for the first time today. My daughter had gone there for burgers and said we had to try it. Went for bkfst. Figured we would try the basics first and see how they rated. I love eggs and find it hard to get an order of eggs 'over easy' correct. Either the egg is totally 'killed' or you put the fork into the whites and uncooked white oozes out (which is the reason I want over easy, so I don't get the gook). Homefries are another hard to make right item when eating out. Some are fried, some are cooked to the point of burnt, some aren't cooked enough. Yes, I am a cook, and I eat out enough to be a critic.I ordered eggs over easy (fingers crossed it would be cooked correctly), bacon, homefries, and toast with butter. I'm not going to lie, we waited almost an hour before getting our food. Apparently one of the chefs called out sick today. When the food arrived I must say, it was the best I have had. Seriously. Brian, the chef, knows how to make an egg over easy. The whites were perfectly done, the yolks totally liquid. No burnt makes or brown edges....PERFECT. Homefries were excellent. Potatoes cooked to a nice soft texture, yet held their shape. Seasoned well. PERFECT. Toast was not burnt and the butter had been applied when the toast was hot, to melt in nicely, not just smeared on top of cold toast. Bacon was done just right and tasted great- no after taste. It was a long wait, but well worth the visit and we will be going back again...and soon!Brian, you NAILED IT!
