Visited for a quick lunch of 2 tacos at the bar. I enjoyed the hospitality of being served delicious warm fried nacho chips and a masterful fresh salsa with my tiny order. I considered one of the fruit drinks on the menu, but then discarded the idea with mental visions of a syrupy concoction from a bottle. Then when I watched the bartender stocking the bins with frozen strawberries and beautiful chunks of fresh mango, I reconsidered. She made me a blender drink of mango and strawberry, with no added sugar, at my request. What a treat on this 85 degree April day. Tacos ordered dairy-free were delicious. Price under $10. I would like to return and try the mole and more!

I went to Patrias to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was my first time and I was delighted. Pleasant ambiance and very good service. Magda, our waitress, was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Presentation was very attractive. Loved their freshly baked bread.

Part of the Raddison hotel with a separate entrance that is up a few steps. Interior is neither modern nor old, nor eclectic. Nothing much to look at. Had dinner here while staying nearby and thought the food, from the presentation to the taste to the portion size all stacked up as average or adequate. Nothing was remarkable or memorable let alone worth a repeat visit. Given the large list of restaurants in walking distance, next time we will take the walk.

Escape Latino

Reviewed By Keke L

The first thing you notice upon entering Escape Latino is the black table, the television and the bar. Our Hostess, Melinda appeared from the distance sporting a smile and offering great eye contact. She immediately made us feel welcomed. We were seated and given "futuristic menues," as one server called them. They are menues inside of seamless black leather bound books that light up upon opening. They are so sleek and cool.Melinda stated that she would bring tortillas and salsa for us while we looked through our menus. She checked on the tortilla and salsa twice. After ordering we waited forty-five minutes to eat. My guest had asked if they offered bread or something while we waited, Melinda told him, "no." She stated that she was not sure why they were taking so long with the tortilla and salsa. She also mentioned that because they were about to serve a party of thirty she did not think we would get the tortilla and salsa. Sadly, this was true.I ordered the Salmon with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My food arrived minus the vegetables. The order had never been placed. Once the vegetable order was put in, it was not long before it did arrive. The presentation of my food was pleasing, both to my eyes and my salivary glands. The colors of the Chilean Pink Salmon and Passion Fruit Puree atop the heated white plate was inviting. The vegetables were a perfectly cooked medley of dark green and yellow Zucchini, light green Choyte, bright orange carrots and Asparagus. They only needed Sea Salt, that the establishment does not offer. I took the veggies home, warmed everything, including the lime that came with it and added Hawai'ian Red Sea Salt. This brought all the flavor of each vegetable bursting forth. The plating of the vegetables was a work of art, with each vegetable being strategically placed so that all their colors were in full contrasting view of each other. It looked as though it was plated by a chef who cared about what you thought of their work. The restaurant's decor is beautifully black. Red cloth napkins grace black tables holding shiney silverware. The colors pleased me and subtly forced me to pay attention to them. The restroom is very spacious, but appears to be left to fend for itself. Before dinner I washed my hands and the soap dispenser sputtered for want of filling. After dinner I returned to find paper thrown on the floor by the toilet and garbage pail. The soap dispenser was still struggling to do its job.My rating reflects my satisfaction with the food and the restaurants decor. I hope to one day return and offer a review worthy of five stars.

Inside is a very sophisticated, but welcoming atmosphere. I love all the different fish options, especially the different types of mussels. I highly recommend the trout. The fried oysters were delicious, but I was disappointed in the dipping sauce- no flavor. Every time I'm here I find myself wishing there were some sort of meat option as an appetizer though. Great drinks. Service is very slow though- after multiple times now.
