My girlfriend and I stopped in while visiting the area for the weekend, and boy was it worth it. The owner (and head chef) and bartender were both chatty, friendly, and incredibly welcoming, and the food was outstanding. Everything is made fresh there, and you can absolutely tell when you taste it. The steak was great and my burger was frankly pretty amazing. Also the beer selection is good!Thank you so much for your kind review. We hope to see you both here again.

While traveling around New York State we had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Bull and Garland. What an amazing find! The room we stayed in was fantastic and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful hosts Melissa and Oliver. But the best was yet to come......... we stayed for dinner and experienced the incredible atmosphere in the Bar/Restaurant at the B&G........ and then there was the food!!!!! Brilliant menu, beautifully cooked....... our only problem was not ordering the entire menu!! The food we saw coming out of the kitchen was unbelievable and everything we ate was delicious. Our particular favourites were the Scotch Egg and the chicken liver Pate...... oh but then there was the chicken and Tarragon Pie!! If you are in the area, stop and eat. You won't be disappointed.

My local source, self made business man called " The Dave ", told me about Prattsville Tavern. Don't blink driving thru town or you may miss it. Looks are deceiving and it appears to be a small town beer and shot place for thirsty locals. I ordered a Burger with cheddar cheese , medium rare, with raw onions. Perfectly cooked, medium pink inside. Good premium chuck meat with a slight charcoal flavor that was not over powering. Served on a lightly toasted Briole bun with a tan top, that surprisingly worked very well with this sandwich. I also recall a very good Dill pickle, if my memory is not fading. Optional hand cut French fries with skin on ( as it should be ). French fries were hot, crispy and perfect. Maybe in the future they can offer fries with gravy and melted cheese ? Ask the Barmaid for the vinegar they keep hidden to sprinkle your fries for English Style taste from across the pond. Out pops the owner with a Hot Turkey platter with all the fixings for under $ 10:00 dollars. It looked really good. Maybe I ordered too soon ? In comes my confidant, " THE DAVE" and he orders Chili, and stated it as excellent. When I review a restaurant, I take into account food quality, friendliness and VALUE - is it affordable for the working class ( or is the new term " the underclass " ? ) I really like this small Tavern / restaurant, and though a little out of the way from the ski resorts of Hunter and Windham, I think you should try it. You can thank me later.

Can't say enough wonderful things!!! Atmosphere and view, just beautiful. Friendly staff. Our waitress was very attentive but all business. Food was just AMAZING!! We had apps, salads, steak and seafood and everyone raved about their meals. Drinks were great too. Definately will visit again and highly recommend! !

Everything at Oakleyâs was delicious! The atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming and all smiles. The owner walks around to make sure his customers are happy with the food and the service. Overall had a wonderful experience and definitely will be back!! Definitely recommend to anyone to stop in and grab a bite!
