Came to Donovanâs for a family birthday. We had 3 generations and all found something delicious to eat. Enjoyed the seafood platter, salmon wrapped scallops, Shepardâs pie, skirt steak, burgers and kidâs Mac and cheese & chicken fingers. Staff was great. This is a high energy (noisy) Reataurant.

So we usually have standard bar fare here but decided to try something different for lunch. Good quick service and advice from the bartender Natalie. Enjoyed the salmon with horseradish... asked for it blackened at Natalie's suggestion, and really liked it along with the garlic mashed potatoes. DW throughly enjoyed the cranberry chicken salad wrap. Glad we experimented with the regular menu! Looking forward to returning. Natalie also made a great cocktail.

El Patron mixes a fine tasting pinacolada and serves tasty dishes. My friend had quesadilla and coconut shrimps appetizers for her meal and was happy with both.My inexpensive Mini Bandeja Paisa was a big oblong plate with grilled steak, one sunny side up, fried pork belly, rice, slice of avocado, half a sweet plantain and a cup of beans. More than a filling meal albeit it is named mini. I could give up the egg and rice for mixed veggies.El Patron has white table cloths, high ceiling, a full bar and pleasant service. Metered street parking was available on a week day at lunch time.

We stopped for Sunday Brunch/Blunch. Service was great, quick, efficient but not hovering. Food was cooked to order. I had the steak sandwich and it was more than enough. We didn't realize the roof top was open or we would have gone up there. We looked after we finished and it looked very nice.

Six of us were looking for a place to eat before seeing a concert at Forest Hills Stadium on a Sunday evening, and we didn't plan in advance and make reservations, which the day of was "impossible".We luckily found Banter, as it was an excellent "choice".....we did wait about 35 minutes for a table, which is understandable given the circumstances. Melissa, our server, was very helpful, as well as gregarious, and with the kitchen's help, had our food out promptly, both appetizers and main courses. We ordered off the "Event Menu" - which is a truncated version of things they have on their normal menu. There was enough choices to meet anyone's needs. We ordered the Curry Cheese Fries and they were outstanding; and, we also got the special corned beef eggrolls, which were well liked. The mains were the Guinness and Beef Pie, which was great, and so too the Chicken Pot Pie, though some felt the Guinness dish was better.I had the Banter Signature Salad with Salmon, which was very good (well dressed and salmon cooked well). We all really enjoyed our experience there, and look forward to future visits, going to more concerts and just having a meal....
