I needed some good Italian salad and food to feed 60 hungry seniors at our monthly catered luncheon. Romoâs was recommended after a couple of other ideas fell through.I should have come here FIRST!!!The staff was most excellent in finalizing the menu of 2 meat and one veggie lasagnaâs.I also got enough salad for 60 with 3 kinds of dressing. Four loaves of sliced Italian bread accompanied all this food.An agreed upon date and time was picked out and when I arrived at the allotted time all the food was packed in easy to carry boxes and bags. The agreed upon price was VERY reasonable and I will make a note to come back again when ordering catered lunch food.Oh, and after all the seniors were fed, there wasn't a crumb to be had.Damn can seniors EAT!!!THANK YOU so much Romo staff for making me look G O O D.

On the recommendation of a colleague in Albany, Restaurant Navona was recommended for our rather large group's Saturday night meal. The restaurant was ready when we arrived, and the seating area accommodated the needs of our reservation. The waitstaff was very friendly and took immense pride in what the restaurant had to offer its patrons. Orders were taken relatively quickly, and the group's appetizers arrived together rather than piecemeal. The evening's mussels and clams were prepared perfectly, and when we requested additional bread to sop-up the flavorful broth, there was no second thought about bring more. And, speaking of their bread, all dough is made in-house and used for both their breads and the pizza crust. Many in our group ordered an individual pizza, which was more than satisfying and delectable. No one left Restaurant Navona unsatisfied. In fact, the group continued to remark that this evening's meal was one of the best they had experienced in quite some time. Kim, the owner, is a gracious hostess, topping off a memorable dining experience with anecdotes about the restaurant's history, philosophy on food, and their locavore tradition. Highly recommended.

We've been three times for Sunday Buffet and thoroughly enjoyed and have reviewed here with 5 stars. Pizza is not available on the Sunday Buffet so we decided to go here for pizza this past Friday night. What a disappointment! We arrived at 5:46, promptly seated as there were two other tables occupied. 6 PM the waitress finally came to take our DRINK order although we wanted to give her our pizza order too and she told us she would be back for that. I ordered a glass of water and hubby ordered hot spice tea with milk on the side. The tea and water arrived but after 7 minutes we flagged the waitress down and asked for the side of milk. She said it was coming. By the time the COLD milk arrived his previously hot tea was now cold. She now takes our pizza order, a large chicken tikka, and 12 minutes later brings us a basket of pakoras as it will now take 30 minutes for the pizza. Why did she waste all this time not telling us that there was an obvious problem?!?! I was fuming as I had called the restaurant at 4 that afternoon and actually asked if pizza would be served that night and I was told indeed it was available.By the time the pizza finally arrived, and it did take 30 minutes AFTER she brought pakoras, we were now full and turned off. The pizza crust was too thick for our taste but the topping was delicious. When we have gone for Sunday buffet, the milk has actually been heated up so we thought that was the reason it was taking so long to get milk for the tea. We still don't understand why the cold milk was not brought out with the hot tea?!?! In addition there was NO apology for any of the mix-ups from our server. We left disappointed and will probably only return for Sunday buffet in the future.

I'm particular when it comes to pizza. This place came recommend to me and I decided to try it out. Pizza tasted great. Reasonably priced. It is definitely a busy place, especially during peak times. Even so, things moved prettyâ quickly. If you'reâ not walking, parking could be a bit of an inconvenience but it's downtown so that is to be expected. Would recommend!
