Excellent sushi as well as cooked dishes. The fish is incredibly fresh. Try the special combination teriyaki dinner! It comes with filet mignon, salmon and chicken. It was easily one of the best dinners I've eaten. Can't wait to go back for another "date night" with my wife. Highly recommend.

New management, new menu, new dining experience. Thank you new and old customers, I will do my best for everyone, please trust us, please give us a chance. Sincerely,Plum House Andy.
This has always been our local go-to for sushi/sashimi. It was always that place where you were greeted immediately, seated quickly and served the freshest sushi and so far the best miso we've ever had. Walked in tonight and were greeted with great enthusiasm, (very reminiscent of my visits in San Fransisco) and whole new decor and an extended menu. Our waitress gave us the rundown on the specials and went to get our drinks. As they arrived a tray of sliced seasoned salmon was brought to our table. We thought it was a mistake, but it was from the owner/sushi chef Andy. Thank you!The miso is still spot on and the Spider Roll had the perfect crunch and spice. My wife had a mango roll - pictured here - thin sliced mango with lobster, asparagus and other seasoning. Perfect!Welcome to the neighborhood Andy, we'll see you again soon!
Where to eat Diner food in Washingtonville: The Best Restaurants and Bars
From an appearance and ambiance standpoint a 1-star at best. Service and quality of food are an easy 4-star. Since I was there for dinner, we will ignore the former and give this establishment the 4-star.From all observations this is a family run operation and they care about the quality. The various food (soups, apps, salads and sushi) are all very good. There are so many choices, it makes it tough to pick what you want. The all you can eat special gives you the opportunity to try quite a variety. From the outside you wonder if you really want to go in. Once you are in, it is many times quite loud. As you sit there enjoying your food, the waiting line gets longer. As you leave, you are very happy you decided to go in for dinner.

We were hungry and looking for "warm" food on a cold Saturday night. So I googled the vicinity. This place came up and we thought....why not. What do we have to lose except for the dinner...The décor is nothing to write home about. Your average, out of the way, Asian décor. But we stopped paying attention to that since often it fools one.So we ordered Tom Yum soup and it was spicy! Spicy nice. It warmed me up.As usual, instead of drinks, we order green tea. This time it was individually brewed in a tea cattle and was of good quality. Trust me on this. We are tea drinkers.Ordered two dishes. Green curry chicken with brown rice and Panang curry Tofu with brown rice, as well. Both were delivered boiling hot and delicious. The curries were just right. The only thing - the broccoli was a bit overdone, but bearable. We were both very satisfied. At the end I asked, as usual, about the red bean ice cream. And they had it.We ordered one red bean and one green tea. You know, often you get your ice cream and you know it 's been sitting in the freezer for a while. This place had its ice cream fresh and goooood.Service was a bit lack luster, but swift when needed to be. It was all good. Fifty bucks and good memories. If and when in the neighborhood, will certainly remember to stop by.
