Peppermint's

We were on our 1st Tour to Cape Cod via Bus. Peppermint's was one of the meal stops along the way. We were very impressed with the service, quality of food, atmosphere and ease of entry. Just a great experience. Our bus load took a portion of the restaurant and the rest of the seating was taken by local business. The place was full ad service was fast. How much better can you get than that?

Somebody recommended this place to us. It's small but friendly. The menu items were interesting - nothing exotic but cool twists on a familiar theme. Our waitress was the best of the experience. She knew how to entertain. She was one of the best servers I have ever worked with. I would go back again.

We found this place by a google search from the Extended Stay in Henrietta. It appeared to be a local hangout, which I like, because our waitress was obviously friendly with the other diners. No wait for a table, on a Saturday morning! And speaking of our waitress, she was a no nonsense, young Meg Tilly who really kept things moving, but in a pleasant, enjoyable way. A breath of fresh air on a dreary Rochester morning.Oh, and the food was good...Standard breakfast menu...The corned beef hash was great.

They had a lot to choose from. Took us awhile to decide what we wanted. Everything looked so good. Their fried zucchini was awesome. Not easy finding it around here. Everything we ordered was delicious. My son loved the macaroni salad. We will defiantly be back. Didn't have room for dessert. Our waiter was funny and made sure everything was ok. Wish I got his name.

Denny's

For more than 65 years Denny's has been bringing people together over great food. It's the place where people can relax and be themselves; where they can enjoy classic American comfort food and everyday value. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. Here, you ca

The definition of haphazard is as follows which fits their service to a tee: (Characterized by lack of order or planning, by irregularity, or by randomness; determined by or dependent on chance; aimless.)We arrived at 11:30am on Saturday. We had to wait about 3 minutes to get seated by a passing waiter. He asked if we wanted a booth or a table. We said booth. His answer was a little strange as he said "if I put you in a booth you will have to wait for an additional 15 minute to get served." We choose a table. A nice waitress took our order for coffee and water. She brought the drinks quickly and left 2 creamers. My wife asked if they had some vanilla creamers and to my surprise said yes. She brought some over in about 5 minutes.Another waitress came over and took or order for a lumberjack slam that we asked to split. After taking our order we drank our coffee in ten minutes and we had to chase down a waitress to get us more coffee. No one offered refills. Our order came in about 25 minutes. The food was looking good. It had 2 eggs, two slices of toast on whole wheat, two slices of bacon, two sausages, and a slice of ham, two pancakes and hash brown potatoes. The only complaint is the toast. The butter? Was almost non-existent. What is it with restaurant owners that they have this fear of bankruptcy it they have to give you some butter or actually use eggs in the pancakes? We had to chase down a waitress to get forks, knives and spoons and napkins. We forgot to ask for ketchup and had to chase her down again. After eating everything but the pancakes we had to chase down a waitress to get some syrup. Then we had to chase down a waitress again to get coffee refills.Excuse us for not asking for more creamers, but guess what, we had to ask again. To summarize, nothing was given to us without asking. The wait staff seemed to be doing their own thing running around haphazardly trying to do their job with no direction. They were helping each other but seemed to be shorthanded and overwhelmed. I can understand that some of the wait staff may have called in sick or not shown up after a Friday night out. This is common in the restaurant business. With all this asking for things, I thought we would have to ask for the check, but to my surprise, it was delivered immediately I took the last bite. What they need at this Denny's is a manager who knows how to manage!Would I eat at this Denny’s again? Maybe, but not in the near future.
