Clean, friendly and tasty sums it all up. This place always gets my order correct and its always very good. The chicken and broccoli is great. the dumplings tasty. won ton soup yummm. Check it out--owners are on site and waiters are friendly.

Tucked away in a little shopping mall in Saint James, my wife and I believe that Ancient Ginger is the best Chinese restaurant on Long Island. We've been going there for years, and we've always found the food to be consistently delicious and the portions plentiful. The management, the waiters, and waitresses have changed over the years, but it seems that whoever is cooking back in the kitchen has been there all along. Our favorite dish? The Yellow Prawns!

The food is always good here. The people who work there are very friendly and get the order to you quickly. You never have to wait more than 10 minutes.

I love this place. Might be the best Chinese restaurant on Long Island. The soup dumplings are outstanding. The spicy pork, scallion pancakes are delicious. The Spicy Flounder Hunan style is fantastic. Service is great and the prices are reasonable. Did I mention that I love this place?

Like so many other strip mall Chinese restaurants that seem to be on every corner. Usually despite their rundown appearances, the food is fairly good. Not this one. Played it safe and ordered wonton soup and shrimp toast. The shrimp toast was ONE piece of greasy mushy something. The noodles for the soup were stale. Of course the place looks like a dump with faded photos and no charm whatsoever, The cook/counter person seemed like he would rather be anywhere else than here. No smile. Even the name of the restaurant is completely lacking in imagination.Won't be back and suggest you don't bother either.
