The central area of the village is on the National Register of Historic Places as the Cold Spring Historic District due to its many well-preserved 19th-century buildings, constructed to accommodate workers at the nearby West Point Foundry (itself a Registered Historic Place today). The town is the birthplace of General Gouverneur K. Warren, who was an important figure in the Union Army during the Civil War. The village, located in the Hudson Highlands, sits at the deepest point of the Hudson River, directly across from West Point. You can't go wrong when you have a choice of breakfast or lunch at midday, and Hudson Hil's offers that. I had Beef Hash and eggs over easy, perfectly prepared (although needing a bit of hot sauce to spice up the hash); daughter enjoyed Eggs Creole, while spouse had a Reuben sandwich (huge, with lots of fresh made potato chips). The food was all quite tasty, well presented, the service was attentive, and the place absolutely charming with a small-town feel even as it clearly caters to a weekender crowd. A great midday spot in a lovely little river town. Worth a stop.

While Rincon Argentino offers a number of items, we have only had their gelato which was very good and a treat from the ice cream offered by other local establishments.The woman who took our orders could not have been nicer and she invited to come back often; which we will probably do since we live close by.Must try some of their other offerings.

the owner is very nice and runs a successful local eatery of average continental fare. The ambiance is a bit inbred, and the waitresses can be distracted.Stick with simple.

Love going here for breakfast! Everything is well done! I usually get an omelet. Friendly staff, good service, great food.... what more can one ask for? If you are in a huge rush, either tell the staff or go somewhere else... this is good food, friendly service.... not fast food....

We stopped here for lunch recently, while in Cold Spring. We ordered a panini and a large Mediterranean salad. Both were good, although service was somewhat slow. The ambiance and decor are somewhat lacking, and the food preparation area did not look to be tremendously well-organized. On the plus side, they offer free wi-fi, which is handy.
