Newburgh /ˈnuːbɜːrɡ/ is a city located in Orange County, New York, United States, 60 miles (97 km) north of New York City, and 90 miles (140 km) south of Albany, on the Hudson River. Newburgh is a part of the New York CSA. The Newburgh area was first settled in the early 18th century by the Germans and British. During the American Revolution, Newburgh served as the headquarters of the Continental Army. Prior to its chartering in 1865, the city of Newburgh was part of the town of Newburgh; the town now borders the city to the north and west. East of the city is the Hudson River; the city of Beacon, New York is across the river; and it is connected to Newburgh via the Newburgh–Beacon Bridge. The entire southern boundary of the city is with the town of New Windsor. Most of this boundary is formed by Quassaick Creek. In May 2016, the city requested help for its PFOS contaminated water supply under Superfund.

Hard to believe I am reviewing a chain restaurant but with a new travel schedule beginning 1/1/19 I find myself in Newburgh every other week and eat dinner here each time. New York Strip is my default meal, sometimes filet mignon and tonight's dinner was Napa Grilled Chicken which was outstanding. I am a tough critic when it comes to food and this location delivers every time!! Well done!!

When you consider all the elements that must coalesce for a meal to be great then this was a great eating experience. Firsts of all the location is superb, right on the shores of the Hudson River. Then the décor is light, elegant and very contemporary. The service was professional and spot-on; I would say it matched my European standards. And then, of course, was the food. The menu is very enticing but they have a $20 prix fix with a wonderful selection of options that really caught my attention. Had the grilled oysters, which were still sweet and moist and with a good amount of bacon, and then I had the fish of the day which was salmon. I just came back from Chile and, let me tell you, this fish was excellent in all respects. Without doubt this was a highlight meal ion the Hudson Valley area.

Attended a wedding rehearsal donner here March 1st, and was blown away. Often such large groups suffer from harried service, food prepared a little too quickly / rushed, but that was noit our experience. FABULOUS service, superbly prepared salmon (my wife and I) and steaks (most of the other quests), everyone RAVED that this was among the best dinners experienced ANYwhere, in quite some time. Congrats to the owner, chefs/cooks, and serving staff..... this place is a GRAND SLAM of all home runs!!

This is our second visit to V & V. My husband and I were very pleased with the food and ambiance, the outside area needed some work. We decided to hold our review until we visited again. On our next visit the outside surrounding area was improved, it's getting there. My husband had seen the Porterhouse steak for two on our previous visit and he was eager to order this, since we both love grilled steaks. This time we dined with two other couples. We had raved about this place and were a little nervous as to whether we were right. We, of course, ordered the Porterhouse for two. It was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Our party also enjoyed and agreed as to the excellence of the food and how well seasoned and delicious each item was. Drinks were very good and the staff friendly and helpful. The owner served us the steaks and was very attentive. Loved it. Can't wait to visit again.
