Sessquatch IPA and Deep Purple are personal faves on the beer side. Very relaxed atmosphere and great indoor/outdoor space with large biergarten-style tables and well as smaller, more private tables. You order at the counter and they bring you the order. Service is generally good or excellent, even when it's packed. The food can be hit-or-miss, but the burger and the prime rib special are generally pretty good. Sometimes the smoked wings are great, sometimes they're rubbery and inedible. In general, most of the Mexican-style dishes are pretty bland. I so wish the smoked items were seasoned better and smoked longer, but the execution depends a lot on whoever is running the kitchen that day.

Historic inn, with all the quirks that come with it. Great location right in the middle of Cazenovia, a lovely village. The room was small and had no workspace, but the bed was comfortable and it had a nice view. We ate in the attached pub, which was fun and convenient since the weather was howling. Of the three inns in town, Linklaen was the least expensive when I traveled so the value was great.Thank you for the review and happy to hear you had a good experience. We can get you in a different room next time with a work space please let us know.

Cazenovia is a small town and since it is so small, there are limited options for nightlife. My wife and I were in Central New York for a short visit and once we finished touring the area and visiting attractions, we considered going back to the hotel, but wanted to check out more. Our search for drinks led us to McCarthyâs Irish Pub in downtown.McCarthyâs Irish Pub has the Irish theme going on and that, of course, means you will see and hear frequent references to Ireland and everything green. The inside has a typical pub look and atmosphere and they do serve a few different Irish beers. But they also serve other craft beer and this was a welcome sight for me, since I was definitely in the mood to try more local suds.McCarthyâs Irish Pub has a full bar with seats and there are a good number of tables for guests. One issue I had with the table seating is the use of stools for seating. They donât have regular chairs with backs, and this could be a problem for some people. I donât mind stools at the bar, but the regular seating really needs to have chairs. Stools can get very uncomfortable very quickly.This Irish pub serves a wide assortment of drinks and also food, if youâre so inclined. I was here solely for the beer so I didnât order any food. A quick glance at the menu shows that they serve typical pub grub, as expected, and the prices are fair. For entertainment, I played several songs on the jukebox and I was told they have live bands on the weekends.Cazenovia isnât a very large city and when youâre looking for late night drinks and entertainment, there are limited choices. McCarthyâs Irish Pub is a good option when you want a craft beer, cocktail, and/or a pub style meal. The issue with the stools is a concern, but McCarthyâs Irish Pub still has enough plusses to make it deserving of a visit.
