I finally got to this place and absolutely loved the food. I ordered takeout and everything was hot, fresh and delicious. I'm so glad this cafe was recommended to me.

We arrived shortly after opening, at 5:00.We were greeted nicely and seated. The service, overall, was prompt and friendly. My wife had the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Four large, fresh shrimp and the cocktail sauce was just right. Not too spicy and not too bland. The salads were fresh. The blue cheese dressing was kind of mayonaise-ish. Really the only disappointment in a very good meal. The gluten free pasta with white clam sauce was very good.I had the chicken cacciatore. It was delicious!I look forward to our next visit.

Stopped for lunch. Quite a few chooses for meals. Chose the Italian sub. Good sized portion, came with fries. I was only able to eat half the sub and most of the fries. The other two in the party were also unable to finish their meals. So great value for what you get. Service was fairly quick. I thought the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go again.

On a very, blustery evening, in Cairo, NY, snowing lightly, almost frigid, stands Nick ' s Pizzeria, as I know it. In the Hannaford Plaza. Nick has been in this business for over 33 years, as a young man just starting out on a new venture. His Italian food is delicious, mastered ever so delectibly, to the taste of "true" Italian, as most old timers, remember it from its original birthplace. My husband and I stopped in at this Pizzeria, after doing some last minute shopping at Hannaford. Walking out with the frigid air, and sleet hitting our face, we got in our car and drove not 100 feet away to the pizzeria. To be greeted by a happy face, a big smile and a warm welcome. And it was so nice and warm in this small restaurant, yet accommodating for a large crowd. We ordered a small pie, suitable for the two of us, my husband and I, and something to drink. It came to 10.95 with tax, and friendly chat, and a wonderful host. The food is delicious, I realize it may get hectic at times, sometimes we, patrons, hate to wait, that's understandably, true. But waiting for something, does Not make for a bad review of food. Perhaps it's the server, perhaps he's the only cook, perhaps his waitress is slow, whatever the reason, the food is still good. And where else can one go in Cairo, New York for good, crisp New York pizza? That is open late? Will stay open just for one customer? There is another pizza restaurant up the road, across from the cemetary, but that is another review which is not as good as this one. Stop in at Nick's, as I know it, Cairo Express, in the Hannaford Plaza, Cairo, NY. There really is no place else to go except McDonald's fast food.
