Friendly place with excellent service & interesting ambience -- Irish county flags throughout the place. Not quite as homey as a traditional pub in Ireland but that's only because the furnishings here are nicer! Great wooden interior. Good traditional Irish offerings. The shepherds pie and the bangers were both excellent.

Ate here following a football game on a cold, wet windy day. the atmosphere is very convivial, with a well attended bar, TVs with football games, and an attentive wait staff. We were seated immediately, away form the bar crowd but within viewing distance of 2 TVs. They tuned one into a game I wanted to see. I had a local IPA. The food was excellent and I thought it a great way to end an other wise dreary day.

We were four for New Year's Eve. It was a price fix menu and the choices were nice. I had the mushroom risotto which was excellent. One of us had duck, one short rib stroganoff and one roast chicken. All entrees were excellent. The appetizers were good but not as good as the entrees. Excellent service as well! This was our second time here for New Year's Eve. I'd like to see a little more variety on the menu next year.

Whilst on holidays in Pearl River, we visited this restaurant for lunch one evening. The drive up to and view from the restaurant are beautiful. Lovely decor inside and interesting brick work around the entrances both inside and out. Staff were very helpful during our time here. Having heard our accents, they quickly picked up that some of us were Irish and were friendly in talking to us about their own Irish Heritage. Food was a little slow at coming out, however, it was worth the wait. We had a selection of appetisers to start. We all either had soup or salad for starters which was very filling. The break between starters and main course gave us time to prepare for more food. Presentation was excellent and food tasted great. Staff approached table on many occasions to ensure all was ok with our meals which was good. Will be back on my next holiday!I'm happy to you enjoyed your visit at Emmett's Castle. Please come back again soon.
