Everyone who goes here wishes it was in their hometown. Large menu, daily specials and Greek entrees too. Lots to choose from, helpful staff very attentive. Their soup only comes as a bowl - hot and plentiful...it's a meal!! Love their Chicken Souvlaki and meatloaf!!

My friend Paul and I hit the Apollo Restaurant for lunch last Friday. This is one of the many Greek places in the area.He had heard about their Buffalo platter which unfortunately they don't offer on Friday's. He settled for the Reuben sandwich while I had their chicken cranberry salad. Both meal portions were plentiful and tasted great though Paul thought the amount of meat in his Reuben was skimpy and admittedly I've seen bigger myself. TONS of chicken in my salad. Our server Angela was simply super. Everything you would want in a server.Very attentive and quick to anticipate your needs.

looking forward to a good breakfast, we decided to try a long established restaurant, Pappas. I ordered a polish sausage omelet with rye toast, homefries and coffee. Mediocre coffee, dried omelet, and tough over boiled polish sausage (the casing was so tough!) was enough to make me say "I won't be back!"

Altonâs Restaurant (Altonâs) is a fine, casual dining eatery (one of two under the Altonâs name in a family for four dining establishments) featuring a clean, warm, and friendly atmosphere. Established in 1982, the restaurant offers home-cooked meals at reasonable prices. Items on the lunch/dinner menu include souvlaki, Greek lamb chops, pasta, seafood, steaks, Buffalo chicken wings, sandwiches, gyros, and a whole lot more. I had the âopen chicken souvlakiâ dish (tender chunks of select chicken served with Greek salad and pita bread) for $11.99, and it was fantastic. Note that the dish also came with Altonâs own special dill sauce for dipping. Yummy! Service was exceptional during our visit. Look for Altonâs at 2221 Transit Road in the New York State community of Elma (in the heart of Erie County just off the 400 Expressway at Exit 78). It is open daily from 6:00 in the morning until 11:00 at night. Breakfast is served all day. Unlike at other restaurants in the area we visited during the Labour Day weekend, there was no wait for a table at Altonâs during the late-morning/early-afternoon timeframe. Parking is free.
